Okay surat, Clan Invasion 101, class is in session. Council first moves to blindly invade following a Comstar ship stumbling upon Clan space. Motion passes but the khan of ghost bear suggests that they send a group to recce the Sphere first so they can have an idea of what they are up against. It is agreed to and Clan Wolf heads the training and equiping of the unit. The unit calls itself then the Wolf's Dragoons. This unit does its assigned job until a year before the invasion, or several months Ulric orders the Dragoons to prepare the sphere for invasion. The Invasion begins and while in the beginning it was like wheat before the scythe, towards the middle of the invasion everyone but Wolf was stalling, while the Wolves were racing ahead for Terra. To make themselves not look so bad and to reign in Wolf, the crusaders called a war meeting of sorts. The Khan, Leo Showers was killed by this action, ask someone else why. So we went one a year haitus to elect a new ilKhan allowing the Sphere even more time to prepare. Jaroth did I miss anything?

How did I get in between the two of you?

Slight correction, it was not the Ghost Bear Khan who suggested the recon force. It was Khan Kerlin Ward of Clan Wolf. It was also Kerlin Ward who ordered the Dragoons to get the IS ready. The ilKhan was killed by Tyra Miraborg who flew her shot up fighter into the bridge of the flagship Dire Wolf .

Buddy... I know the history. But you're forgetting three important things: First, this is just for fun because roleplaying our characters is amusing and there's no need to get ACTUALLY bent out of shape; second, none of the stuff you mentioned that occurred after the invasion's start has actually happened yet in the MWO timeline; and finally, I never dissented the history, I answered a challenge to a Circle of Equals (which, in typical Wolf fashion, you avoided in favor of empty words).

The ilKhan was killed by an IS fighter crashing into the bridge of the Dire Wolf, stirring the CGC into a little bit of a confused frenzy. There was no "why". The two sides were at war.

He is correct guardian, this stuff has not happened yet. Correct on the ilKhan's death as well. Where was this challenge? I have to go back up & look. What you do mean in typical Wolf fashion? I would be happy to fight you falcon, if you have MW4:Mercenaries.

By "typical Wolf fashion", I mean just that: Growl at your predator until it hunts you out of pure annoyance, then yip, yelp, and whine like a pup asking its mother to lick its wounds. I no longer have Mercs—lost to the ravages of time and multiple moves—but I will see about get the MekTek version, which is better anyway. You see, MekTek added far more options for me to kill you with.

(OOC: There was no "official" challenge, just the implicit threat with the bluster Clanners are required to bring to every conversation.)

Seyla! Wow, there are a lot of Pryde's in here. I am down for a bloodrite trials. I've been a fan of MW for quite some time. Learned the table top game from my father, the card game, and played MW, MW2, and MW3 on the computer. After that, sort of got out of touch with it. It's a hard time finding people who know what MW is alone, and then find one who still plays. I still have my JF and SV decks upstairs with all the counters in their altoids tin still hahah.

Looking forward to the release.

I cannot face you in circle of equals at the moment falcon, as I am busy. You mistake my words as an evasion.

When I get my computer back from repairs and an overhaul, I will tear you to pieces, in here or on MW4: Mercs MekTek version.

Our courage is fierce, like the cry of the Jade Falcon.
Our ranks are broad, like the wings of the Jade Falcon.
Our march is swift, like the swoop of the Jade Falcon.

We are Jade Falcon!

Although my Tag is "Talon Pryde", the "Pryde" Bloodname is a residual of my career as "Longinus Pryde" in Mechwarrior 2 & 4. I will be more than agreeable to submitting myself to Cadet Training, Trial of Position, and waiting until my superiors in the Touman have determined that I have earned the right to a Trial of Bloodright for the "Pryde" Bloodname.

My dear Falcons please, I apologize for the poor communication during my introduction:

It is only now really that I have begun to properly address/manage my profile, and thus corrections will most definitely be made now.

(Apologies for speaking "out of character" as I did not know this was an "in" character thread. Clearing up matters will start: As per my rank and the unit I command, that is regarding to my "broader" personal character in the CBT universe, having served and earned my wings/stripes in the Refusal War (Mechwarrior 2), and making (on the 1st time through the game ever) a final rank of "Nova Colonel", and writing a "bit" of fiction for my character, where the CO for the 3rd Falcon Talon Cluster is KIA, and I take over. Mostly for role playing)

As for "New Avalon", I must change that to Ironhold

I wish to start a new fresh codex on this thread to erase previous misconceptions.

Simply put:

James Pryde, reporting in. :-)

(PS, how did you guys get a space in your name ? When I tried it did not let me ? is there a way to change it. Thank you)

indeed for me it was my Mechwarrior 2 career (and role playing), but yes, so shall I humbly submit to Trial too

Ever since MW2 Clan Jade Falcon has been my preference. The books definitely helped that decision, but Clan Jade Falcon all the way!

How are you all launching? As a merc corp? Because I would like to join you if you would have me along.
