Yes cause being hit with multiple explosives shouldn't shake us up!
AC20 is a Depleted Uranium Penetrator which punches a hole in your armor... LRMs are explosive laden missiles which EXPLODE on contact. ACs Impact only, LRMs Impact PLUS explosion. More shake n bake.
I'm all for that, but the problem is missile impulse isn't related to the size of the missile that hits you, unlike ACs.
An AC20 should impact with enough force to throw your torso around (to a degree). It's the biggest slug in the game, and from the impact alone it should feel the most devastating.
But LRMs don't have scaling impulse values. An LRM5 shakes you just as much as an LRM20, and it doesn't matter if AMS takes care of 4/5 of the missiles from an LRM5. A single LRM hitting you will shake your cockpit and produce as much motion blur as if you got hit by a full salvo of 20.
That's the part that's broken, and why mechs with 5+ LRM5s chain-fired is considered a cheese build. It doesn't matter if you take AMS and only 1 missile from each salvo actually hits you. That 1 missile from every salvo will still be enough to stun-lock you, which IMO is pretty unrealistic.
