We now have clan tags to show faction in game - when will the mercenary tag be shown - we are currently lumped with lone wolves. While I prefer to show my actual merc company tag - even a tag of MRC would be good addition

But there is a merc faction tag... you're wearing it now!

Now asking for more of a difference between Lone Wolf and Merc tags would be very reasonable. Right now, the two look very close to one another. (But if this is the case, what kind of tag would you suggest?)

Edit: Sorry. I had to vote "Don't care". It's not because I don't care, but because there is a merc tag already, so this poll/thread doesn't make much sense to me. I do "care", but I think you are more in line with asking for the merc tag to be changed, rather than being added in...

in game the icon is the lone wolf version - in the forum its the merc one - that's the difference

No, in game it is the Merc one. Look closer.

That being said, some kind of MRBC symbol would be more fitting for Mercs in my opinion.

I suggest you look again - it obviously says LNW which is nothing like Mercenary

I guess I should change my faction for a moment, jump into a match, and see what it shows.

Test complete. Findings:
You are right. This should be showing the Merc tag, but instead we see the LNW tags in a match. Changing vote accordingly. (And submitting support ticket.)

I have asked for this multiple times since Closed Beta. I am pretty sure no answer was given to this. It NEEDS to be put in. If they have no plans and are waiting for Mercs to upload (Seriously Doubt It), their own Merc pic then maybe there is an excuse.

Inside the actual game, the Merc tag means nothing, it registers the player as a Lone Wolf or LNW.

Some might mention MRBC didn't officially exist until 3054. But I could careless. The institution that handled the mercs is pretty much the same thing.
