We need to put a cap on the downtime between games in a given match. We are using 10 minutes of downtime for the Beerwarrior 4v4 tournament. I think that gives a team plenty of time to adjust to whatever tonnage the other team declares.

Hey - didn't see this mentioned before but....

In the Beerwarrior 4v4 tournament going on, both teams in a given match had to agree to Clan tech for it to be allowed on the field.

Will the same rule apply here?

Frankly, I don't think allowing content that is ONLY available for cash is a good idea. Once it's available for cbills, sure, why not? But right now, Clan tech is only available to those with disposable income, which strikes me as a bit dubious in the "fair play" department.

we dont consider the clans to be noticeably better then IS mechs, so we are allowing clan mechs

On a side note, I think our lance would be willing to play IS only mechs if a team asks for no clan tech. Generally I feel that the PPFLD of Inner Sphere mechs easily matches or surpasses that of most clan mechs anyway.

A few notes for today:

we will be meeting on the NS teamspeak server (TS.Nstalkers.com). i already have a section build just for this tournament. please be present in the meeting room channel (the one outside the match channels) at 5 est. i want to say a few things and then open the field for any last minute questions before we get started.

as of right now we have 7 teams, so i have a randomly generated bye in there. i would prefer this not be the case though, so if a last minute team gets together please let me know so i can have a perfect bracket the bracket is set currently, and as soon as the more creative members of NS get up ill whip them up a fancy bracket. barring that i will post it by 2pm by hand from work lol
