The Dire wolf in it's current state looks sweet, feels like a bad arse assault.....until you meet the enemy and then you realize it is a **** with M and M's stickin out of it.

As a player with not much experience in the game I'd like to offer my view in this subject.
I like playing my assaults. I am used to piloting my Stalkers and I usually do quite good in them.

The problem atleast for me so far is that my team usually leaves me in my slow lumbering direwolf behind and charges into battle. When team leaves me behind I know I am probably going to be sacrificed one way or another. Either I get attacked by lights before I ever reach the main battle (so I work as an early warning system) or I get targeted by a light and then I see the message every direwolf pilot fears "Incoming missile". Still maybe the worst way to be screwed by your team is when they decide to retreat or abort an attack. As a direwolf you cannot really run from the enemy and you are left to die. Well atleast in this case you have a chance to fight back and hand out some punishment.

These seem to be the what happens to direwolfs in games with random teammates. I am sure things are different if you have even one friend/clanmate in the same game but sadly I don't have that luxury. So please look after your direwolf friends they will appreciate it.

Oh and so that my post is not totally offtopic: The central torso hit box needs to be fixed.

All lrm's and anything that hits from above hits CT no matter what. All damage is usually taken CT anyways. yay for a 240 dollar package with broken mech's.

It's not the mech. it's the way PGI designed LRM's

The Point is , DWF wont get played anymore after some time . Infact the TimberWolf is the better assault , easyer to play much more durable .

I dont need any SuperAssault but DWF should have the durabilty of the Atlas at last. I dont ask for more , no more speed no better turn. But if this CT issue not get canged then i will play my Atlas again and just wait for the month i can buy Stormcrow , Timberwolfs for C-bills .

MY Daishi will make a perfect hanger beauty.

No its definitely the mech. Its CT hitbox is enormous. The problem goes well beyond LRMs... EVERYTHING hits it in the CT.
