Over the years I've played Mechwarrior 4, both Vengeance and Mercenaries, the one thing I'm looking forward to most is a super kick-ass campaign from PGI.
There's just something about fulfilling missions, competing in championships, and collecting that sweet sweet salvage, that just turns me on and really gets me going. As is sit here, replaying the same game over and over again, I can't help but wonder as to if a campaign is even plausible in the server-based scenario we are presented with in MWO.
If there are any of you out there like me, I'd like to hear your opinion as whether or not a campaign should be made, or if the concept artists will continue provoke me with the picture of that dropship in the wallpaper, and the very first concept gameplay.

For those of you who don't know, I was referring to this gameplay.

I say they should make a campaign for mwo, for PC. If possible, make the whole game for the xbox one console or ps 4 console.
It would be a great idea if they simplified controls for the consoles, but keep it from being third person but first person. They would reach a greater amount of people who have never heard of the franchise or have but can't play mwo because they don't have a suitable computer to play the PC variant ( much like myself). With the next gen consoles, they could bring the series back to the console with a broader audience.

I'd personally be okay with them making it for the next gen consoles, and adding a campaign for PC, just as they don't make it like call of duty, an over made franchise, where you can Melee people.

Reasons PGI should make a campaign for the PC, or if possible for the next gen consoles such as xbox 1and ps4
1.brings a new spectrum of fans
2. More explanation of where we are in the timeline w/possible background of previous events

Thank you for reading this post, as it was a little off topic. ANY RESPONSE FROM THE DEV'S WOULD BE WELCOME

Well, there was this from the reddit event...

Q: What is your vision for the future of Battletech?

A: continues expansion of MWO evolving into PvE or even single player content. My dream.

So it seems like Russ would like to do some SP stuff, but it'd naturally be years down the line. Especially considering PGI's track record of getting stuff done in a reasonable amount of time.
Is it 90 days after the start of OB yet?

They do have access to the IP until 2020 though, so it's possible.
