So my suggestion to those who arent sure why this isnt set up for MACs? Buy a decent PC desktop for your home gaming use, and keep that MAC laptop for your work usage

More likely the developers chose to work with an engine that utilizes DirectX (which most do)
Meaning that OSX could not be supported without a completely new engine being built or using a potentially "gimped" one that allowed it to run on both DirectX and OpenGL.
Could be wrong, but that's generally the case.
As others have said, I would give bootcamp a try, Win7 runs surprisingly well on my 09 MBP, but probably not to the standard this game requires.
But I'm guessing this is a troll thread, in which case, 5/10 for making me reply.
I was thinking along similar lines at first, but Crysis 3 is coming out for the PS3 as well, so the engine supports another platform. I'm more leaning towards licencing though on MS's part, they don't play well with others in some areas. As much as I like Macs (I had an Apple 2, and stopped with a G3) they aren't exactly known even these days for great game performance anyway. EA released a few games for OSX, and they aren't as well optomised.

I know a few people who have MacBook Pros, and only run Windows on them. It's Badge snobbery for a lot of folks.

Badge snobbery. Some people would NEVER buy a Ford Mondeo, but they'll buy an X-Type jag. Never mind it's the same chassis, engine, gearbox, roadgear etc.

I've always understood buying the logo. I just want to know how they rationalize the extra costs though. It has to be seen in a different light than what we see it as.

This is a good way test the maturity levels on this forums, by reading the remarks from this thread.
I use both MAC and PC, PC is is basically used for gaming but I use the MAC for my financial security, and other task that I need to trust that that is secured.
I never had my World of Warcraft/Diablo 3 account hacked while playing on my MAC. When ever blizzard decided to release info on their so called Titan MMO that's supposed to be Halo, you can almost guarantee its gonna be playable on the MAC.

I've asked every Mac owner I know this question, the only thing they can come up with "THERE'S NO VIRUSES". I've owned a PC for nearly a decade, I've gotten a serious virus maybe twice and was easily fixable in a couple hours. The only thing I can think of getting a Mac would be that it's a computer for people who are too lazy to figure out computers.

it can be on mac, windows runs on mac, mac os x runs on pc, mac hardware = pc hardware with a gouged price increase for the different case (anywhere from 3-7x more expensive for the same gutts)
you can run any os on the same hardware, you just need to buy the os. right now windows 8 beta is free, although its beta windows so ya, youll get what you pay for (bugs and potential errors to report).
best bet is to buy a pc for much cheaper and run it as a dual boot hackintosh (pc with mac os boot drive) for gameing with windows native apps and top of the line bleeding edge performance for anyone without bill gates money.

blizzard does dual os games because theyre all steve jobs fanboys, which is fine, no skin off my balls. but asking the game developing world to go through the trouble when dual boot hackintosh is easy, well thats nuts.

And that's what linux is for. All the MacOS is is a bastardized version of BSD anyway; there are linux OSs(ubuntu) which are just as user friendly, will run on the exact same hardware windows does, and happen to be free.

What brand of PC do you own and what is the processor and video card? ans say the logo didnt tip the balance for you in buying the rig or the equipment.
