I just put together a new desktop about a week ago and thought I'd download and install the test server software before the test actually starts, but instead I'll hog lots of bandwidth once the server is live since you don't allow the installing to carry out beforehand. You might want to rethink that since I doubt I'm the only one that don't have the test installed already.

The PTS is still in maintenance mode... since after the news of the PTS being used (at least hours from the original post).

This isn't going to be an effective test if everyone's that trying it out for the first time, since the overall download is equivalent of downloading MWO again.

Even then, leaving minimal time to just patch (even just 1 hour) needs to happen soon. I don't quite know what maintenance needs to be done... but it's going for what amounts to 12 hours plus.

If I am not mistaken (and I may well be, perhaps PGI/IGP can correct if I am wrong) the test client I have already installed will just need to be updated for tonight's test.

If I have to download an entirely new test client, I'll pass.

Your download speed is dependent upon your ISP. Took me <2 minutes to upgrade the test client.

Of course, if you do not have a tier 1 Enterprise Class connection, and have not already downloaded the test client, then this is you:


and if you DO have an Enterprise Class connection, then this is you when trying to PEW PEW PEW because IGP/PGI cannot seem to coordinate Enterprise Class connections alongside your 24 baud analog modem:
