Well this topic defiantly moved in the wrong direction than what I intended. Legging is a valid tactic but one I usually don't employ because the torso is a much bigger and easier target to hit.
I wanted to talk about the ease of legging clan mech compared to the IS ones. Do the clan legs have much bigger hit boxes making the legs more vulnerable?

I swear to god in 80% of the times of getting legged in my Timberwolf its from LRM's
my legs seem to soak in all the damage from above before my ST do

We Timber Wolves due tend to spend a lot of time in the air, my leg is often where my CT would be.

That's just it
It's not that, I own more than one JJ mech
It's when I'm on the ground getting LRM'd walking into cover that my legs are hurting the most
It's not so hard to believe that the leg hitbox might just be a bit too big on those things
I also see the same thing happening to other timbers that are under heavy rain
Well just saying more than in any other JJ mech that I own, at least to LRM's
Just have an eye out
Avoiding LRM's in the first place is of course still the best course of action

Clan mechs run clan XL's. Hitting both side torsos can be difficult if the pilot is any good and guards it. Same goes for the CT.
Legs are ALWAYS available targets. You can't "hip twist" your legs out of view.
If you're going to destroy a mech by blowing off 2 areas...go for the legs...you'll always have a shot.
