hey all,

I just noticed the ERPPC splash damage goes from a LEG to the Same Side TORSO SIDE.

Now, although on a paper-doll this may somewhat make some sense on a table top game, can someone explain me WHY THIS MAKES SENSE HERE?

Mech Anatomy 1 to 1:

There is a leg, then there is a hip, then there is the "belt" (CT), then there is the CT and finally we meet a Side Torso.

If the ERPPC generate, say, an "electric discharge to adjacent component" for a collateral damage of 2.5, well there is NO Adjacency between a LEG and the same Side Torso.. there is AIR in between.

So either you do it right, therefore you shoot a leg and it deliver 2.5 to CENTER TORSO, being the reasonable connection a Leg has to the Body, OR you just disable splash from Legs to anything else.

The way it splashes to Side Torso is NONSENSE.

Physically the legs are connected to the CT. For the purposes of damage transfer legs are connected to side torso. Same as with ammo explosions. When they stated it would arc to an adjacent section they meant the latter.

It's supposed to transer to the sides before the center....hence the diagram....

Well, simply because i do not really see that much of things to complain about at the moment.

his damage transfer sounded weird to me, but i can see how the diagram works.. i m still not fully sold, but bottom line, I don t really care too much either.

At this very moment I am surprise of how pretty decently PGI have been able to merge Clan tech with IS. I was ready to not bet a penny on the success of it.

Instead, they came out pretty neat on it.

Clan can exist as IS can exist. They handle to offer 2 different way to play the same game.

I have no problem whatsoever to kill Clan mechs, so far I drop with a group that has a little bit of understanding of what the hell they are doing.

TEAMWORK has always been the RULE, however is way to simple to always complain about something else, other than your own ineptitude and inability to play as a team.

To play against Clan mechs either you play as a team and you use the perks IS still has against them, or you lose.

If you lose, is not because they are overpowered.

In fact, you can also see that many pilots who quite suck, they will really not last long using Clan mechs.

Clan mechs are extremely powerful and extremely unforgiving. A bad pilot in a Clan mech is gonna be an even worst pilot, however a good pilot in a Clan mech is extremely dangerous threat.

Stop complaining for "everything" and try to pull out constructive criticism.

VERY loosely based.....with frequent changes to not only the timeline, but to the base mechanics of how everything works.
