And you are free to just throw aside all pretense of trying to be an effective mech (If you really wanted that you'd have been piloting a Kit Fox) and can just run around pestering people piloting REAL mechs, and maybe even have a shot at legging a Locust!

I love running into battle, flamer blazing in the air.
Or shooting confused allied mechs in the cockpit with it. They are all like, "WTF, it is an Adder?" And I am all like, "FWOOSH!" Not like it does more than scratch the paint anyways. XD

I ran the stock LRM adder one game. I ran out of ammo and ran around flame ring rest of the game. They ignored me thinking I was no big deal. Then I got 3 kills and over 100 more damage from the flamer alone.
Next game I think someone was there from previous game. Everyone focused very intently ok killing me. Enough to ignore the dire wolf shooting them in the back just to get me.

I think PGI needs to give some sort of bonus to anyone who bought a Golden Adder. Like a Blue/white flame or something.

The Adder is SAdder than most mechs, but probably not as sad as the Locust.
My team (full pick up) got stomped in River City.
I go to spectate mode at 11-3.
Locust.
With one Large Laser.
Not an ER Large Laser.
No.
Just a regular, Large Laser.
Why?

I actually love the fact the Adder is forced to bring a flamer into combat. It somehow takes away the guilt of wasting crit space for one that isn't hardwired to the mech. Makes it almost like a "bonus" weapon.

But the siren call, insisting that you fill the other energy slots with flamers...
YEAHHHH!

I actually think the flamer could be useful. It is good for blinding someone in close brawls. It is even better for trying to run circles around a big slow mech. Unfortunately, the Adder is too slow to run circles, but it still is good for blocking out someone's view.
