It does seem fairly common though, but not Quickdraw levels (yet).

Summoner seems fine to me, though. I have seen a lot more mechs go down to legging lately, but that might be more to do with people using lots of SRM missiles again (and LRMs), that spread the damage out. A juicy leg loses it's armor, and they kill you the easiest way they can.
BTW, all light mechs got a 5% armor bonus to their legs last patch as well.

Any mech that does alot of jumping around, tends to take alot more damage in the legs than anywhere else.
Quickdraw is the worst for this.
When I used to pilot my victor, if I never jumped an entire game and mostly ground pounded with it, its always torso kills, If I was jumping around more.. always legs.. so uh.. jump less.

Jumping to its maximum height is definitely not the culprit. At most on impact it causes what, 1% reduction and light yellow paperdoll?
I'm talking about enemy fire being magnetized to Summoner legs. It's nuts.
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this or if I've been having a long stream of bad luck.

Yep lol. That sounds about right. I don't finish a match without at least one my legs being opened.
Considering it's a Mech that has a chassis specifically designed for jump jetting, you would think it would be engineered in a such a way to soften the impact of landing if not downright eliminate damage.
I mean, look at the size of those legs in Battletech and how many actuators must be in them.
Eureka: Hey PGI, why don't you make that the Summoner quirk?

I meant that shots are more likely to hit your legs when you're jumping at max height.

+ their legs are fixed for the JJ's and will screw em even harder.
Until they fix the other IS mechs with similar problems, I have 0 sympathy for clanners, let the legging commence.

They're not trying to shoot your legs, but when you jump a lot, your legs end up being in the spot they were aiming at when the shots connect.

The answer in most cases is pretty simple though. Look at the game models. Them things, in general, are VERY leggy.

This is true. Hence why maybe it would be a good idea for PGI to incorporate a damage reduction quirk to jump jetting for the Summoner, or something of the like -- especially when fall damage is implemented.
I mean, dem legs... They look like (and considering the chassis was engineered to handle JJs) they should absorb a fall from the top of Mt. Everest.
