made a loadout that I'm some what happy with on my Thor, still getting my butt handed to me most of the time when I use the mech, still its a fun ride, enjoy.

That's what Malthus "technically" piloted in canon, but his loadout in the cartoon is quite clearly a laser boat. The M variant basically has almost the same hardpoints as the prime, though, so it would be fairly boring. His laser spam boat from the cartoon would be much more fun and unique.

Incorrect, Malthus actually did pilot his canon M in the cartoon. If you watch any of the others (difficult as that is at times) they had a hard time differentiating missile fire from laser fire, missiles usually ended up just looking like red lasers...watch some clips of any of the MadDog fights....they also would get the color wrong from shot to shot, as you can see in the .gif, they change from red to green for no reason...overall they were inconsistent, so making assumptions on loadouts is, presumptuous
On the summoner, please don't break the stock loadouts....yeah it's subpar but a lot of that is MWO's fault, not the Summoner's
Even in TT it was a good, "soldier" mech...but was pretty outclassed in lots of situations....and endo-steel/fixed JJ effected it there too, just not as much as here in MWO....
It's a good solid workhorse but isn't a power house necessarily....reliable and versital
I agree with Bishop, Timberwolfs aren't supposed to jump....or jump well at least, the S has JJ default but that's just the mechanic PGI used to implement mod ability, no Timberwolf came stock with JJ ...ever
In fact, it's important to remember, clan omnis were delivered to units in Prime configs...that's the factory default, units would then swap them to the different configs, variants pretty well cover most situations, this allows commanders to keep weapons stocked appropriately...depending on the situation, the mech could easily be swapped to different variants (if you were a commander and had several Summoner's you knew you needed a number of certain weapons stocked to accommodated the official variant list)
Variants could then be, adjusted by a specific warrior, but for the most part, you had to be an exceptionally notable pilot to make a completely custom config (the supply officer would tear you a new exhaust port)
So, the Timberwolf S legs are an aberration, no Timberwolf ever came with JJ stock...if it had them they would have always been attached to them in the field for a specific mission....I don't think it's un resonable to make OMNI JJ worse if you then allow that JJ omni leg to be added to ALL clan omnis...giving hard mounted JJ mechs a buff indirectly
In short : I love my Summoner, it's one of a select few of favorites I have (only missing the MadDog and Firemoth from the line up, GJ PGI lol) if it gets buffed fine by me, but I think nerfing Omni JJ to be enough, it already feels the way it did in TT , which is fine by me....you've always had to "git gud" or lucky to get the best performance out of the Summoner...

in the cartoon, a Hunchback IIC exploded into a fireball by just a laser grazing it's legs (and i'm sure everybody here knows there isn't a single thing in it's legs that explode)... and that missiles, lasers, and ballistics have had a tendency to all have the same visual effects in the show as well

Funny, I always thought of the Summoner as the equivalent to the Thunderbolt....
