I totally understand the "war is evil" and "tough guys like fire and brimstone", but seriously? How about some variety...
Oh, and while I'm on my soapbox, how about some camo alternatives to the Satanic hero mechs?... at least give us ONE...
Let's be real here
Coming back from hell is way more badass than "gently floating back from heaven sale"

But it's the long weekend! Should have played it up - Canada Day this week and Independence Day next week.
Introduce a new skin, sell some country colors, discounted premium time.
Or perhaps a tracked competition of some sort - Canadians vs US vs the World.
I completely agree. I said the same thing about "missed opportunity" over the last American holiday (I think Memorial Day). Come on PGI, use the stuff already going on in the world to get some sales going, instead of just making things up... It's not like their isn't national pride in 3049...

I actually purchased it, thinking I could make it all black and wipe out all the junk. Unfortunately, the reflective nature of the decals makes it visible no matter what you do, so it sits in my mechbay, collecting dust

That is one opinion, yes. How about we look beyond that and do something different for once?
and Tyreal would like to have a word with you about this...
Encouraging demonic and Satanic things is a weak and lazy approach to "badass".

Oh?....
Yep, nothing remotely demonic about that 12 foot tall killing machine.

Another perspective: facelessly descending from heaven to kill your sorry behind while double-fisting spears.
Gee, WWJD?

So... you want the see the angelic Spider-5V, possibly with some non-Death Knell Commando (Guardian of the Light), and maybe an Orion/Protector of the people to round things out?
Just checking.

That, good sir, is a revered Chaplain of the Black Templar Space Marines, a specifically pious and zealous and several-centuries-old officer of an already overly pious and zealous loyalist chapter. You don't get much holier than that in WH40K universe.

Pretty much. My main issue is the Firebrand, which is covered in bluntly-Satanic logos. The Jager, for what it's worth, happens to look extremely good in the only semi-religious camo pattern, Crusader (or the CrusJager as I like to call it):
While I would LOVE to see a dedicated faith-oriented Hero mech, all I'm really asking for is the ability to change my FB camo to ANYTHING other than that camo pattern. Until then, I'm forced to use my DD instead, which works just fine but without the bonuses that I paid for.
I'm not trying to force anyone else to use them, but it is pretty insulting to see all of these "Hell-based" sales and hero mechs without anything on the other side to balance it out. The Crusader camo was a good attempt, but since no hero mech comes with it and none can wear the camo, it still fell short IMO.

I realize that it's not "cool" to be religious in video games, and it's easy to attack me for bringing this topic up, but it is an issue for many more people than will admit it for those very reasons. Persecution isn't always overt enough to see.
(I also realize that no one is forcing me to use the hero mech, or even to buy it, and if I had noticed the reflection early enough, I could have gotten a refund, but I didn't and now that someone pointed it out, it really bugs me, just like when someone points out how crooked a person's eyes are... you just can't get over it once it is pointed out!)

While I'm not religious, I don't think that sounds unreasonable. "Technically" the camo pattern probably can be overridden, but I think there are some mechs that are an exception to the rule (the La Malinche's head energy hardpoint) and that could be somewhat problematic with existing camos. It would essentially require "effort" on PGI to allow all existing mechs (Founders, Phoenix, Clan Invasion Prime) to all have a base/alt camo. I don't think PGI is up for that task (remember how long it took for being able to recolor Founder mechs?)
It doesn't seem "practical", unless you're willing to accept there will be some "deformities" with even the base/standard camos.
