Enter cl_fov=?? (?? = your favourite number, mines 82) into your systemoverride.cfg and save as read only... Job done.

And no it will not break your game. Pfft! :ph34r:

Should look something like this:

; DO NOT MODIFY THIS FILE!
r_Driver="DX11"
r_txaa=0
r_msaa=0
r_postaa=0
r_DepthOfField=0
r_HDRGrainAmount=0.0
cl_FOV=82

I have had this cfg for a longtime withought any problems.

Does having a lower FoV help FPS?

I currently have my FoV to like 95. It gives a nice view of the panel in the mech...good for eye candy. But I kinda need to find ways to improve my FPS in game....

Honestly the clan mech cockpits look like they were designed for a higher FoV than the default.

When the hell did 60 become the standard anyways? It looks terrible. A lot of older games used 90. Hell, there are a ton of games that have a slider for it in the options, sometimes going as high as 100.

EDIT: As for it resetting, try setting the .cfg to read-only? I wouldn't really know, never had that issue, though mine is in fact read-only.
