It's a smurfy build. It's safe, I just puush'd it since it gives me less issues than normal. Gimme a sec to repost it. Posted Image

Didn't even use up all yer tonnage! :D
But goodness, you'd have to have a lot of guts to use something that overheat-prone in MWO. :D
...Granted that many DHS would probably let you use just a couple of the lasers rather endlessly. :D

Drop a laser, the targetting comp. and a couple of heatsinks for an LRM launcher to use the rest of your tonnage.

As it is that's a very nasty build, optimised it will be a slaughterHawk.

<3 890m effective range.

Hah! The 5CERLL would be nearly completely heat neutral in TT, but inaccurate because of the lack of targeting computer. This one would be entirely, but I actually goofed a bit (I can have 3t ammo, and forgot to up the armor and change it to Artemis ammo.)

Still needs dakka, though. That's what the 4xLPL/6xMG Daishi's for, though. All the dakka and wub you'd ever need.

I did something like this when screwing around (I call it the 40oz on account of having a ton forty It cant use) and I expected to goof off and instead had a blast and ***** face with chainfire, fired slow and steady like until a window of opportunity opened up or right before going into cover spam the living crap out of my lasers (within reason).

This puppys going in my list of tested builds.

Has anyone used an Elite Warhawk with the 28DHS and 4 C ER PPC loadout? If so, how much more heat efficient is it?

Non elite, I can fire 8 consecutive shots, spaced about a half second apart before the 9th will shut me down. It generates about 18% per shot.

What does elite do for it?

Some MWO Heat sim program shows eliting it raises the heat dis to 6.81 or so, and the heat threshold up to 107 or so, up from 98. I would imagine this really helps.

Drop 1 Heatsink, up the Targetting Computer to Mk.2 (I'd say in the CT rather than the arm), then max out the rest of the armour.
Doesn't seem... amazingly optimised overall though.

Still, want a Warhawk. ^-^

I've run this:

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...7167b2c59263aeb

It's okay and I do pretty well with it when I remember to be a second line fighter that pokes out only one arm at a time. In all other cases this is better:

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...4253b47514d1ffa

Better heat management, and a better sustained burst damage.

I still love the hell out of my prime, you just have to play it differently.

4 cerppc and a targeting computer mk4, been using this almost stock build since patch hit, and it rarely disappoints. Just broke 1,1k dmg, granted we lost but still ;).

P.S. How doth I post pics again? Do I need to first post it on a different site to link?

Fire the ERPPC in pairs, for some reason you get better heat management.

Does a PPC count as beam weapon?

Not really 'for some reason', that's Ghost Heat.

If you fire 3+ PPCs together you get ghost heat.

4C-ERPPCs would 'normally' generate 60 heat.
With Ghost Heat it generates 92.4.

I think the spacing is 0.5 seconds, so yeah, if you volley them in pairs you'll be better off heat wise.

No, a PPC is a projectile weapon in MWO, see http://mwomercs.com/...ommand-console/

That's not what the guy initially meant I think, the comparison in heat was between firing them in pairs and chain firing. Not alpha or 3 at once. I usually pair fire as well, have chain fire grouped as well for the occasion.
