Wow kickstarter fail. I thought they would make the goals. Updated Robotech could have been good and not deserved.

They even had a pledge tier of $1 for "Enemy Spy" which allowed those who dislike HG to post their dislike in the comment section of the kickstarter, and a lot of people apparently made use of this if you look at the comments. So even with the people who really hated HG chipping in a buck they still couldn't make their goal and cancelled the campaign rather than letting it run out of time.

So, yeah, I think it's safe to say Harmony Gold has been reaping the results of the reputation their business practices have given them.

Considering the quality of the last Robotech movie Shadow Chronicles compared to what Macross has been churning out it's probably best for everyone that it failed.
