I cant believe they call this mechwarrior its a dam joke of a game. Terrible bugs crashes to desktop super bad mech balance. The mechlab is a total joke messy and you cannot save configurations for your loadouts.no social aspects, mechs die in 1 hit almost. I could write up a whole book on what is wrong with game and maybe write 1 page on things that are good.

The Devs for this game should be ashamed to even have MWO online it represents everything the older community talked about and never wanted to see in a MechWarrior game.PGI threw out all that was good with MechWarrior2-MechWarrior4 and made this abomination of a game.

PGI needs to start over and remake this game back into a MechWarrior game not some crap first person shooter.

Everyone agrees with you. The thing is, well... We know. Relax. You're throwing pixel words at a wall of abject hopelessness. There's a point where repeating the same thing gets old and these forums are a year or two over that point.

Oh look, another one of those "I could do a better job" posts.

Well, OP, why didn't you? Why are we not playing the vastly superior, totally balanced, and glitch-free Mechwarrior game made by you?
Because, of course, you can reballance the whole game in your head, and get it right in one go with no testing, right?

In other words - put up, or shut up.

This is poetic and deep yet extremely simple.

Yup I think op is completely wrong on this, so lets go through your ****** little graphic.

No Boss levels - When has a MW game ever had a "boss level"
Boring Characters - Name one characters other than the solaris arena announcer you can remember from previous mech games, hint its not about the characters its about mech combat
No Instructions - True, but most of us would rather have content to play with then tutorials
Technical Glitches - every game ever, also why add the word technical
Impossible - wtf?
Bad Storyline - See boring characters, heck MWO has a good chance to have a better storyline then previous MW games once CW comes out
Boring - Then why are you playing? most of us seem to enjoy the core gameplay
Repetitive - True
Bad Game Design - The bulk is TT rules so...
Simple - This is just a random graphic you ripped of the internet isnt it?
Annoying Music - Theres music?
Time Limits - Needed.
Loading Lagtime - wtf is that?

Because he'd get, I don't know, C&D'd by PGI?

http://www.rockpaper...is-less-living/

Heck, even maintaining the older games was a no-no (see Mek-Tek's forceful kick out of MW4:M support once they became PGI's competition).

are you serious?!?!?!

this is the best MechWarrior game since mw4 mercs

...and ya I can tell your new here....

so, with that in mind, either play the game or make your "perfect" version to prove it can be done.

otherwise, your just another troll...

ive been here since the beginning and this game has done nothing for me but get better.

"BEST MECHWARRIOR GAME TO DATE" IMO

so ya, take your troll back to the "children of duty" (COD in case you didn't catch that) forums where the "this is a terribad game" posts should be

this game rocks..

I believe the OP is right on a lot of his post I bought all the previous PC MechWarrior games and expansions on Ebay and have them all working on Windows8.In the Campaigns you do have characters and boss level AI units to fight there is a true storyline. The older PC MechWarrior games are incredibly fun to play and master.

He is also right about everything plus much more that I had not noticed about MWO until I started to play the older games.I also went on TS3 and talked to hundreds of older MechWarrior players that played leagues and online most have stopped playing MWO.In truth it was all the old MechWarrior pilots that spent massive hours and dollars to put up the leagues and ensure the players had fun.

MWO is a FPS game only the cosmetics IE mechs in it even resembles the old PC MechWarrior games. In many ways I wish PGI would have taken mechwarrior2,MechWarrior3,and mechwarrio4 put them all together with the expansions and campaigns and made MWO I believe the OP might be saying this would have been better for the MechWarrior IP overall.

I can state from my point of view the older PC mechwarrior games are much funner to play online than MWO the mechs are more agile they take more damage there are hundreds of maps to play you can save mech load-outs in the mechlab and its not clustered.

So in many ways the OP is right about MWO we can only hope the devs and staff do what I did go buy all the older MechWarrior PC games and play them and try to make MWO better for the older players and the new players.

This quote from theRock Paper Scissors article actually made me laugh out loud;

Quote

“We both realized that the MWLL community was small and it really wasn’t competing with MWO but still each time a feature was added to MWLL that was in MWO it felt as though we were doubling up effort to restore this great brand.

I expressed that we were not trying to shut anyone down but asked him how we might meld the two communities better and even look to possibly hire on any great talent what was in that project. ( Hey MWLL guys send in those resumes ) For a long time the IP was in the wind and MWLL is one of those games that really kept MW on peoples minds so the project and the individuals have our up most respect.

We discussed this topic for a little while but again it was friendly and there was no threats of shutting the mod down just more of a sense of “Why are we doubling up efforts here?”. After the show he contacted me expressing that they really wanted to finish what they started with MWLL and had a set of features that they would like to get done and asked if that was okay with PGI. They presented a very professional plan on the remaining work they wanted to complete and stated after that it would be time to stop production on MWLL. I thanked them for the plan and said that it all sounded great.”

I'm sure it was just 2 good old boys talking it out and Russ Bullock nicely talking with them and in a Ghandi-like method helping them realize that together they can move MW forward, just WITHOUT the MWLL guys. Yeah, that's it "together, just the 2 of us, only not you". Smells of steer manure to me.

If I wanted a boring single player game I wouldn't be playing. The fact it has no single player component, or story, or boss levels, is in the ******* title of the god damned game. Can you even read OP?

If their talks were more like Tony Soprano or Vito Corleone sitting them down and telling them the way things are going to be, I'm pretty darn sure the MWLL guys would have no problems with mentioning a juicy story like that to anybody who would write an article about it. They would have had nothing to lose if they were being threatened to shut down anyway.
