but it would help a ton with clarity.

That would help for sure, many Clusters do not feature anything from the Clan banner. Think of the 4th Wolf Guards, the Cyclops Cluster

Personally I am a fan of CNC Sigma Galaxy's logo:

Has absolutely nothing to do with the Nova Cat as far as emblem, but it does seem to have a sun going nova in the middle. XD The hexagonal design is interesting, too.

I don't remember Clusters having individual banners... Though I remember something about a Star Adder Galaxy that had an Unofficial banner of a Golfball flying away from a Moon!

They have it indeed. Even Trinaries have their own variation of their Cluster's insignia. Only a few have a picture of it but in the Wolf Clan Sourcebooks individual Clusters and Trinaries' insignias are described.

Glad you think it because now it is my Cluster ;) Though actually my favourites are the 328th Assault Cluster and the 13th Wolf Guards (of course!).

Sadly there is no picture of the Cluster's insignia, only the description i posted above.

This is instead the 279th Battle Cluster insignia:

I think I just realized what the Nova Cat thread is missing: random screaming between rival clans and copious amounts of posturing.
...
Not even the Jaguars are harassing us. ;)

I feel like CNC is like Apple from ten years ago. No computer viruses because nobody cared enough to make some for Macs. XD

Like I said in the Clan Pack announcement thread, our motto should be: CLAN NOVA CAT; WE EXIST

Trying. Before, we were structured as a split Kurita/Nova Cat force, but it was designed to be run by two people equally. One of them went poof, the entire load shifted to me, and then I had IRL stuff to deal with. Without leadership the cohesion broke up. That, and we have people waiting for a Clan announcement. That is here now, and now we have 12 or 14 or so players and counting.

Yeaaah, Sorry about that, my computer literally could not play the game between the patch where they changed the vision modes until the patch after 12v12. Something just ATE my graphics card and until they did the cleanup stuff with 12v12 I was averaging about 6 frames per second. I hung on for a while, but I just couldn't stay active when I couldn't actually play the game. I think you have the right move to restructure pure CNC if we finally have the people to drop as a whole team together. I've been pretty busy as well, but I hope to be around more and catch up with you guys.

Once 2014 starts, are you Clan Nova Cat guys going to stay around for the game?

Probably. We have like five people on right now, but we are still a rather small group.

I would like to give you a channel in our TS server to drop with us occasionally. We already do it with our trothkins and friends of the German Clan Wolf. I have a personal ambition: making the Clan community in MWO and MWLL more united. I would love to see more cooperation between different Clans, not limited to these forums but extended to the game and other websites as well.
The problem is i am not a Khan nor an officer so i can only dream and suggest higher-ranking warriors a few ideas.

We tried something with Strana Mechty on Anook but at the moment only i, the Jade Falcons and Lukoi from the Diamond Sharks post something..

I remember the Strana Mechty experiment. Thought it was a good idea, but at the time CNC had largely dissipated. Made no sense for us to throw our hat in the ring yet. Felt bad having to turn down the invite I got for it. :\

I would honestly love to see what House Kurita does/did with their units, but for the Clans. Massive central hubs of communication and inter-unit cooperation. I imagine it is very close to what you have in mind as well. Only problem is as soon as you have more than a couple player made organizations inevitably someone emerges from the barn with a drama llama. Usually it is a turf war situation. Player/Group A does not want to listen to Player/Group B who thinks everyone should listen to them while Player/Group C totally tunes the whole {Scrap} out and does their own thing ******* off A and B.....

Would need some pretty clear restrictions on overlap and freedom for each clan to do what it wants to do, as well as a method to deal with grudges and general saltiness quickly and cleanly.

As for the TS offer, thanks.. But, as you said, I doubt you could make that call. We have a cobbled together TS server, as well, right now. If the Clans can ever organize to the extent they need to (and never actually did in the Lore :) ) it would be nice having a one stop shop for Clan HPG (Teamspeak) needs.

Yep, that was my idea. And yes, i have already heard of conflicts between Clans .. So we can choose either to give much freedom to each Clan (easiest and probably the best) or having a kind of Grand Council made up of the Khans which will rule over arguments to preserve harmony among the children of Kerensky. And as a very last resource.. That is what a Trial of Annihilation is for :D

I would not mind if you want to join as on Anook or just come and make some posts. I also felt bad when i saw the website experiment kind of failed.. So if you want to jump i would be glad to see you there. Honestly, you might wait some time - right now it is full of negativity about the Clan package from the Jade Falcons page..

As you said, in the lore the Clans have never been much united but they had at least communication among them and Trials of Possession were fought constantly :)

The German Wolves have their own server but lately our Clan units are joining each other's server more often than before, a few days ago i helped them doing some 12 men. Often happened that we or them could not start a 12 or 24 men drop because we needed 2 or 3 more people.. Think if you could ask you, the Snow Wolves, the Russian Wolves, the Ghost Bears or even the Jade Falcon (yes, the real world Falcons are not that bad ;) ) to join us so often. It would be fun.

Sadly i have to envy those united Spheroids.. :D

I can certainly pass this information onto the rest of the 58th Strike Cluster. Right now we are a bit of a hive mind more than a structured force, but if interaction can grow, hopefully we all benefit. Of course, I have a startling lack of links for anything at this point, from Strana Mechty to TS channels.

Thanks for the links. Consider them forwarded to the rest of the Cluster. Until then, be careful in four mans. We might be small in number, but our fury is great. :)

Incidentally, I feel bad for Natasha Kerensky. Usually the games I am on the opposite team, it ends pretty badly for her (him?). >_>

I did not expect anything else from Nova Cat warriors :o
Uhm, i have often met Lucian Nostra, did not remember he was a Cat  Glad to be in his same ELO bracket ;)

Natasha Kerensky.. 230 damage? He/she is not roleplaying really well - Natasha Kerensky would have killed 4 enemies alone and capped the base by herself

No kidding. I am unsure if in all the matchups with Natasha he/she was just in a bad group of pugs, or if he/she just is not worthy of the name. Last night, trying to get a 5th starmate to synch with us, he ended on the enemy team. After telling them I was dangerous in a bid to try and get me eliminated fast, apparently two others on his team knew that in advance and told them of how I came out of nowhere and took their faces off. That is the sort of legacy a Clanner should aspire to.

Incidentally, it did not save them, and I walked away from there with 45% of my Jester intact and four kills to my name. If I had a tech, he would hate me. I absolutely thrash my mechs.

Sadly, it also explains why I tend to get focused fired upon often (resulting in me either dying or being so badly damaged there is not much I can do for the rest of the game  )
