For both jump and ECM, I'm pretty sure you want the Kit Fox.

The Adder is really crappy. I mean so is the Kit Fox, but least it has some use as an ECM carrier.

Adder/Puma does not offer jumpjets or ECM. You must go with the Kitfox if you want either one.
Kitfoxes have side torsos and legs that feature JJs.
Kitfox has a right arm that features ECM and AMS.
Kitfox also has access to all 3 weapon types.
Adder has more room for customization, but no access to ballistics (that I know of or available currently) and big weapons. It's also longer and an LRM magnet.
The Adder's armor is considerably better however.

The adder can have a ballistic right arm and can fit a UAC20 in it or a LB20 with 2 and a half tons of ammo with 3 ERsmall lasers. People underestimate what a 35 ton mech with 16 tons of pod space can do, which is a huge downfall for anyone who thinks the Adder is useless. Sure it lacks ECM and JJs, but it packs as much firepower as most medium mech with the advantage of a very small profile. As an SRM boat it rocks and it can handle lasers and a very large ballistic just fine.
Though the Kit Fox is a very good utility light and probably a mech that could turn the tide of battle for your team. It suffers from low speed, but it can mount a lot of stuff on it, including 3 AMS. I love the Clan lights for their firepower. You are also, for the most part, ignored because if you hang around bigger mechs, they seem to focus on them and leave you alone to do damage. And let me tell you.. An adder going over 100 with a UAC 20 and 3 ERsmalls should never be ignored.

Indeed.
I personally favor twin LRM-20s, good ammo tonnage, and twin ER ML for the arms with lower arms and hand actuators. Aim the torso upward, aim with the arms... hit anything, anywhere, even in the most unlikely places due to skyward launched missiles. Where most mechs would just hit a wall, the Adder can launch right over it with ease.
I confess I haven't tried all the arms. So ballistic right arm? Will have to try it.
...but I'm liking this loadout way too much.

good! I have found the LRM Adder to be a surprisingly good LRM boat for its tonnage. Its amazing.. Plus its fast enough to get its missiles on target where most LRM boats have problems. Plus with the new Targeting Computer, you can make one to be an information warfare mech by locking any mech you see and getting targeting data very fast for your team, and carry 2 ERLLs with the extended range and crit chance to boot. The only thing I don't like about it is the animations of its feet seem to be half done XD
