Kristen's Krushers was founded in 3037 by Kristen Marik, daughter of Captain-General Janos Marik and his second wife Ana Stewart. Kristen wanted to make her own way, so she served a stint in Langendorf's Lancers under an assumed name. Janos' death in 3035 left her with a large sum of money, in addition to her landhold as Duchess of Augustine. Kristen used her inheritance to fulfill the dream of founding her own mercenary unit.

Another nice example of following established lore.

After this current contract, Kristen's Krushers would remain in the employ of the Free Worlds League until 3059. Kristen maintained the mercenary group as a family business -- her husband served as executive officer and two of her children served under her as battalion and company commanders. After 3059 the Krushers would take a contract with the Lyran Commonwealth, and it was while under their employ the Federated-Commonwealth Civil War began. A lengthy fighting retreat from Lyran space whilst pursued by Nondi Steiner claimed the lives of Kristen and her two children. Kristen Marik's husband, Jiri Rousset, would maintain the unit until the couple's youngest daughter, Alys Rousset-Marik, graduated from Princefield Military Academy in 3067 and inherited control of the Krushers.
