Upon reviewing them, apologies for the blurry video - there was apparently an issue with OBS causing it to render blurry :D

I have some good footage, i'm taking my time to make a nice montage of the event for all to enjoy some highlights from my PoV.

Thanks for putting this together, I can't wait to do this (or something similar) again. Should definitely be a weekly thing!

From the participants - what was the most fun? ppc's? flamers? impact damage only?

I really enjoyed the "6-8 locusts vs. xxxx" drops we did, giving everyone their chance to mow locusts.

I missed the bug hunts at the end, but I think I probably enjoyed the PPC battles the most.

4-5 unarmored locusts gang-banging the one fully armored one with flamers was funny too. Its totally true, "In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king". In this case, in the land of the unarmored, the armored locust is king.

I enjoyed the flamers and the ramming the most. The ramming speed on alpine was hilarious when I kept several of them on the peek. Most of us legged ourselves from fall damage on that one only to have the rest of the team drive right through us.

I would really like to do the no-weapons ramming only on something like HPG, caustic, or canyon network. Somewhere where you have to really pick your path or suffer fall damage.

The PPC one was good too, I wish we could have tried a stand off, where everyone is back-to-back and there was a countdown. I know we tried and it might be a little difficult, but that was a lot of fun.

Another option is to try AC2s or AC5s on the 1V. It allows you to engage at different ranges, but it wouldn't result in instant deaths or instant legging. Keep the games lasting a little bit longer. I would love to try AC2s.

I want to try the ppc stuff with standard ppc's, so we couldn't do that "chest bump shoot" thing many of us resorted to :D

Good fun! I'd like to make it a regular event, maybe twice a month or so - would anyone be interested if I continued making the windbourne highlanders teamspeak available for this? I'm sure if we're doing it more regularly the start-up will be a lot smoother

I'd also love to hear what the PGI guys think of this lol

I'd definitely try my best to make it to any future events like this.

The standard PPC sounds like a good idea.

A single AC/2 or AC/5 in like the right arm would be like the jousting lance and the other arm will just be a shield. That would be fun trying to joust with full armor. The LPL in the 1V had me at a disadvantage against all you ER PPC guys lol.

Yeah, I tried the LPL build... it would be fine for hitting larger slower mechs, but against other locusts it was no good.

I built an LBX locust... slow, but against mechs with no armor...
