Single Player Campains For Mc?

You got the code built now why not sell single player campaigns? For that matter you could sell multiplayer missions versus AI? Make some really hard and let players earn CB for winning missions versus AI missions. Just a thought to spice stuff up. You could do Separate Clan against IS missions and have some type of Map to show progress of each side. I could go on and on where you could take this idea.

Because a suitable AI is not something you do in an afternoon? Because there are other features, long promised, with a higher priority and demand of the community?

A single player campaign is a nice idea, but I really don't see it for at least another 24 months.

That was a very specific statement...24 months...care to dish on long range plans? What other priorities are there besides community warfare?

I know that a boxed product idea for mechwarrior failed.

but now that they have a firm base with MWO I would very gladly spend MC on "chapters" in a single player campaign.

every few weeks they could release another chapter of the storyline.
It could elaborate a lot more of this very interesting part of the battletech timeline.

I would gladly buy it!

As it requires an active online account, and I have heared of no instances of people pirating MC or mechs, selling like this might be pirate proof.

I'm very glad that the single player idea is on the table and hope it will get some attention in the forseeable future.

Nope, I can't as I'm not involved with the development with the game. I'm only a volunteer for the forums. But I'm trying to calculate with numbers that are somewhat realistic.

For now I see community warfare as the next roadblock. It's hopefully mostly out of the way at the end of the year. After that, most features for the games are implemented and the development team can work on their backlog on improvements they want or need to enter into the game.

A rework of the piloting skill trees (we currently have several skills that have no function besides XP costs).
Adding cosmetic items the community asked and wanted for a long time, like unit insignias for your battlemechs.
The HUD and Mechlab improvements we all are waiting for.
And probably several hundred small improvements and bugs that are on their list, but didn't get development time yet.
I'm calculating another 6 to 9 months for all that.

If they then start to develop an AI for a single player or cooperative campaign, that is good enough to not need new balance adjustments just for this mode, it will be another 3 to 6 months. If the AI then performs like they want it to, they can start working on the single player or cooperative missions. If they don't need to create new art assets for them, this could be done relativly fast. If they want to make something new, it could take months.
