Cw Should Have Been Developed First

PGI should have built the infrastructure of the game first - CW - then added regular content. That would have bolstered the game and increased long-term potential revenue.
I know for a fact that I would have went from pure F2P to buying stuff.
Who's with me on this? Who thinks adding CW LAST hurts the game more than it helps it? Who thinks CW shouldn't be added first?

I do agree that They really should have taken the time to build the frame and then fill it in as it went along. I have no idea why they wasted so much time with that old useless UI when they should have known it's limitations. However they have the idea and learned from that fiasco. This is why I look at The old MWO before Ui 2.0 and post Ui 2.0 as separate games.
They could not have supported the complexity of this game with the Old UI. Whatever the case it was either not able or incapable of Supporting the features needed for this game. The problem is that It took time. Time they sorely mis-used, time that could have been spent getting UI 2.0 done. If we would have had 2.0 from the beginning we would be close to CW than we are now.
However as i see it they have been productively lately despite this setback with getting features out. I can already say a huge number of people have said NO CW before clans. I am anticipating association to see what they are doing and what direction they are going to take.

You're right in a funny-joke-sense, because it takes them so long to make anything. We'd instead of having 6 maps we would have 3 (lol) and instead of 50 mechs we would have 30, but we'd have an actual progressive game instead of TDM.

"Core Worlds – Are managed by the dev team. These are worlds that necessary for future planning and part of major historical events.
Faction Worlds – Are fought over by Faction players. These planets buffer core and border worlds, and do not play a significant role in major historical events. Rewards for controlling these planets are directly linked to global bonuses and abilities associated with a player’s Faction.
Border Worlds – Are fought over via a contract bidding system by player run Mercenary Corporations. These planets change hands on a regular basis, and have no impact on historical events. Rewards for controlling a boarder world are significant and go directly to the occupying Merc Corp."

But I guess the financial resources (or the lack thereof) of PGIGP made that impossible.

If CW was active right now, units would be using PPC/Gauss/ACs, unless you are one of the "Africa Clans" (WoT) where anything goes because nobody really cares...
Would I have liked the game to progress faster? Naturally, but I am not so short-sighted as to ignore all the fail that would have happened with an early CW implementation. Present the end-game.. when you are ready for it to be the end-game.
Anyone else remember going "Open Beta?"

I dont agree with it, but I understand it.

the counter to this would be that a player can be understanding enough to delay clans so they can work on getting CW here faster but If i started that thread I probably know what the reaction would be. Not to mention many players who like me had to basically play IS mechs for 2 years without seeing clan mechs or got into this game because they thought clans mechs would be here in a short amount of time. it's just a thought

Grats you edited your original post.
only for spelling errors, or if there was something wrong with it.
I just edited this post also because I go back and correct. what does that have to do with anything. You think I went back and changed everything? even if i reworded I would still say what I meant to say. The words change but the meaning does not. It depends.

No mech combat, no CW.
So to me it does make sense that they would hammer out the details of what the game revolves around, mech combat. This includes weapon funtion, customization and balance.
It was a good idea to implement the clans before CW. Some think Clans aren't balanced, some think they are, I feel it's very close, but if they weren't, it would have destroyed CW because of unbalance. Also if CW exsisted before clans, how would all the persons wanting to play clans participate? Would the realm have to be rest when clans did invade?
The problem being they took, in my opinion, far too long to refine the game. It seems as tho very little has changed over how long the game has been around.
