WVR-7K - Vindicator

Vindicator-1X has a left arm ballistic hardpoint, which does let it do the PPC/AC routine if you want. Fact is, given the -3L is a 3051 model, we'd likely end up starting with the -1AA (higher engine rating/jump capacity), -1X, and the "standard" -1R for the beginning 3 variants. It's even got a ready-made hero variant with the St. Ives Blue.

And it's one of the poster children for Capellan Battlemechs, being the medium to go with the Raven and Cataphract. Looking forward to seeing it upteched and on the field.

I'm interested to see the visual differences between the Vindicator pictures found here and MWO's Vindicator.

I'd be happy to see true MWO concept art, even if its only release after the fact ala the Banshee just to compare it against Alex's fanart piece.

A Warhammer would be nice.
A PPC and a AC5 in each side torso, and Medium Pulse Lasers in the arms.

Probably have to dumb down the LRM15 to 10. Lose the ERPPC for ERLL. Switch to regular laser. And drop a JJ to get under that 45 ton limit. But the upside is you won't need as big an engine to get the same performance and the mech will HOPEFULLLY be shorter and not as bulky as the wolverine.

It would be nice if they provided it some unique quirks like they did with the recent Battlemaster hero.

I'm actually wondering if it'll have a positive value of the External Heat Transfer perk that the Hellslinger had as a negative. Fluff wise the Vindicator had special intakes on its PPC to allow it to draw in water to help cool it down faster (assuming it crouched and sat still for ten seconds) and that would be one way to represent it.

i am looking forward to the Vindicator, (even though i'm still miffed at PGI) its my pilots first mech passed down from his father before their home planet Alrescha changed hands from capellian hands to the federated suns in 3030

i'm pretty sure its going to be a pretty decent mech but we'll see.

They could just fudge a little make it so you can cooldown energy weapons faster while in water. But given there are few maps with much water. It'd be too specialized. ;o

Now if only they can add the Enforcer, I'll be happy.

Definitely, having a proper one rather than making underweight but close versions via the Blackjack (and eventually the Vindi) would be nice. I suspect those foaming at the mouth at the selection of the Vindi rather than a heavier design might go even more mental though...

The Vindicator...? Do any of you devs ever talk to each other? You already had your "Clan invasion". Who with any sense would have a need for the Vindicator? Or for that matter any medium Mech in this version of BT/MW. your a year late on this one dev team but keep up the good work? So for the player who loves to hunt bear with a switch we have the Mech for you.

Nice! I hope PGI fixes the CERLL duration time (1.5 would be a good start) at the same time this mech is released. if they do I just might purchase his mech....we will see.

I want the VND-1SIC! (I wished they had made the St. Ives Compact a chose able faction... cause I'd jump on board with them! But, Davion is next best!)

Question: How does fixing the CERLL make you want to buy the Vindicator? The two has nothing to do with each other, as the Vindicator can't take CERLLs...

I'm just saying, if I liked the Vindicator Hero, I'd be buying one. No offense was meant as I don't understand what CERLL has to do with the Vindicator (any of them from his description in his post). His post just makes me feel it's a (no offense meant still) false promise to try and produce a desired result he likes (and has nothing to actually do with the Vindicator itself).
