Sometimes I think they do this because it is easier to make these kind of changes over and over again. And call it new, instead of working to make actual new game play elements.

Can't even say there are not a bunch of good ideas since they are littered all over the forums.

But instead, oh look we are going to make it so you cannot not run the good stuff you had before. But now you can carry lots of what you won't touch even with a red mech.
