Mine doesn't either, lol.
Thankfully she's a gamer too - we play quite a bit together, but the Giant Robot thing is something she just won't cross.
I recently downloaded the old 1977 Mobile Suit Gundam Series (Hopefully it isn't blasphemous to mention Gundam on the forums). Have to watch it while she's asleep, Ha!
