Same problem here cant launch game as it says servers still doing maintenance, when will this be sorted as its all supposed to be online?

Yeah, I still can't load the patcher.
My friend in Australia has patched, made 2 mechs and gone to bed. :D

Im in the UK and I get this message whenever I try to load the patcher

I have the "servers unavailable" message. Have been trying on and off for 30 minutes or so to patch and play. :D

Trying to connect from the UK, don't know if that makes a difference.

LRMs are pinpoint now? Welcome to the LRMpocalypse Redux. It's back and probably worse than ever! Everything else looks good but that one worries me a bit. No new mechs? No hero even? Interesting. Overall you guys have been doing a fine job. LRMs though...

got kicked off the server a couple times since the patch so might be some instability...

For any one interested, the equation used for the damage falloff from C-LRM is:
y=(x/180)^2

They make it easier for people with bad gaming rigs or bad aim to hit Lights.

Seriously, though, even some top-end competitive teams like HoL use streakboats as light-killers in low-tonnage drops. If you don't think they can still be effective, go in a private lobby and run any Light against an Oxide with 4 SSRM2s - hell, you can even take the Firestarter with 2 AMS, both AMS modules and Radar Dep - and see how well you do.

In this case, "pinpoint" doesn't mean what you think it means. LRMS aren't going to hit nothing but CT, or something, they just took away the (very, very small) amount of splash damage they had.

any PGI folks reading this - it appears no one from the UK can connect.. could you please investigate?

Ive rebooted my PC, router and modem, and even run the repair tool on the game (clutching at straws, i know)

Check out the patch feedback section. Apparently changing your DNS servers will fix the issue.

PS. For anyone trying to connect from the UK try changing your DNS to 8.8.8.8 (Google), it worked for me and others.

So rendering them completely useless is justified?

Sorry but you cannot remotely call that weapon balance, seeing as SRMs have virtually NO cons other than requiring good aim. If PGI had increased the Rate of Fire for streaks to something comparable to SRMs to compenstate for the pinpoint damage, then I'd be less upset, but there is literally no point for anyone to use them now.

Interesting with the DNS issue, and probably not something PGI can do anything about, but definitely toss a ticket to Support @ UK players, it may be something that the provider(s) borked completely independent of PGI, but PGI support asking them to investigate as a result of numerous tickets would have more clout than single players. :D
