Please let us know what you think of the new Rejoin functionality
  • Added "Rejoin" functionality
  • Players are now able to rejoin back to their match if they have been disconnected.
  • If the player rejoins within 2 minutes of when they disconnected from the match, their rewards will not be affected.
  • If the player rejoins after 2 minutes of when they disconnected from the the match, they will not receive any rewards.
  • If the player died in the match before the disconnect occured, rewards will be given regardless of the 2 minute timer.

Known Issues
  • Quitting on the Death Screen and rejoining may sometimes cause the player to be stuck in a static death cam upon rejoining and spectating.
  • Rejoining in front of a turret will either force the turret to be non-visible (if alive) or appear as active (if destroyed)
  • Players with limited bandwidth may be unable to rejoin a match in progress.
  • If disconnecting while targetting an enemy, that enemy will not be targetable upon rejoin until you target another enemy.
  • Component destruction VFX triggers upon rejoining a match.

worked for me!

Got legged so I hit ESC, clicked quit match.

Clicked rejoin and I was back in (although dead)

Dont work for me...

Get DS when searching and when my group get map i was droped like "no pilot"
When i click Rejoin, i loading the map but after that i was drop to Mechlab and get pop-up "Disconected from game server"

After 4 "rejoin" i freeze the client and kill it in Process Menager.

Rejoin worked for me, however found myself dead upon return. Only left the game originally as the game was very laggy, slow and unresponsive . Multiple disconnects for the match. Text chat was very slow or not showing up. Was in game with Gabriel Kessler (PGI). probably experienced the same thing.

Game had to end with full timer expired.....

possible cheat on the rejoined: gut disconnected but when I came back to the game I was in a kind of god spectating mode (simmilare to the one used in the tournaments by the NGNG guys) could fly across the map using the key, could see the all the mechs: enemy or friendly (but not the FOF markers)
I have it recorded but it will take time to up load to you tube

Ok so only a single crash from game, but occured neared the end of the match, kicked me to log on screen because of a connection hiccup, couldn't resign in and had to exit the client, client froze up and locked my screen up and unable to access the task manager, had to hard reboot my system and reload into my OS before even getting back into the game.

So well past 2 minutes and I finally get back in, to find the match is over and that based off your 'ruleset' because I was alive before disconnect all that I earned for the majority of that match play has been lost.

That time needs to be extended to allow for people to be able to reboot and reconnect machines, not just reload the client. The old complaint about players loading in and disconnecting to get mech rewards, just set it so that a person has reasonable time to reload the game.

And 40 seconds of the time it took to load in was after signing in, waiting for the UI to actually 'connect'

I got a client crash while loading map, I think it took me less than two minutes but I didn't time it, anyway I clicked rejoin, then loaded the game map just to be kicked back into the mechlab.

It worked for me in the single instance I had to use it. I rejoined before game start, while still in the countdown screen.

Would be possible to have an option to skip the initial videos entirely? even stopping them takes a lot of time, time that could make a difference in game.

If you leave a match and go to the next the button still says REJOIN even after switching to a new mech. Seems like it should give a PLAY NOW after switching mechs.

I was discoed, from a memory allocation leak error. logged in. pressed the rejoin button, was then kicked back to mechlab did the rejoin thing again , was kicked back to mech lab again.

Spot on, used several times and works really well. With my decent connection I was back in the game in about 15seconds of pressing rejoin.
I have a connection generally downloading at 40mbps with a 90-100 ping. Other who have issues what is your download speed?

well i tried playing but alwas "disconnected to server"... very S.....Ty Patch.. althougth this is my only past time may be ganna try dreadnougt untill this fix this.. Well already miss my 2 elite mech,,,

Day 2: First time in ages I get crash to desktop, relaunch game, manage to finally get through login and connecting to client... (team mates in TS tell me the counter for the launch into match has just finished) and I hit the rejoin button, connect to river city night, start loading in, suddenly screen goes black and the next thing I am back in the mechlab UI.

In one match last night I got disconnected, but the client didn't tell _me_ , it just looked like everyone else stopped moving and I couldn't target enemy 'Mechs. My teammates told me they saw a disconnect message. I quit the match and rejoined and was able to resume combat.

Love it, works great. So long as you don't DC too early and get "No Pilot" tag on your mech I have found you can get right back into the fight. Good stuff!

I've been in several games where a player rejoining either causes MASSIVE lag spikes for the other players and/or causes the server to crash and desync completely.

This feature is rubbish and should be pulled from the game.

Just had my first chance to test this. Lost network connectivity briefly while on the pre-match screen and was DCed from the game. Network returned about 1 minute later, logged in to the client (had not closed it), pressed rejoin, went through a connecting cycle and was dropped back to the mechlab and told I had disconnected from the game server. Repeated this 3 more times and hung on "connecting" the last time. Restarted the client and tried again, straight back to the mechlab after the connecting and game intro bit.

Is there a problem reconnecting if you are DCed prior to match start?

what a pain in the arse function!

game crashed with the 0 bytes from 128 read error. then the hassle began.

game wouldn't load mechlad, spun trying to connect for 5 mins or more so i closed the window and restarted the client. this time mechlab loads fast but now i get a bloody dumb rejoin button unable to launch a new game as i was obviously over by now. tried to rejoin but then spat me back to mechlab to then once again spend more than 5 mins waiting for mechlab to connect again.

got frustrated so restarted client and now mech finally is ready to launch a new game. The function was pointless, i hadn't tried to rejoin within 2 mins but it decided that what i had tyo do, all up i spent more friggin fart arseing around than if i had just been able to pick a new mech and drop in that instead.

15 mins wasted on a stupid function considering i didn't even get to see the start up of the orginal match thus i had nothing to go back to start with.

FAIL

Once again PGI has a good idea but lacks the knowledge in how to introduce it without major F ups.
