I really dislike the toggle mechanic. Now I have to remember 'did I leave it on or off', and I have the problem where in the heat of combat my finger slips and now the crosshairs are stuck when I need them free.

Please restore the old 'hold button' mechanic, or offer it as an option. Thanks.

Why cant we just have 2 different buttons one for toggle one for holding?

Why does this happen? When you add a feature, please do not remove the old one. You could either have two key-binds or one key-bind with a check box in the Game Settings menu. I don't really care either way. I think the two key-binds option is better though.

DON'T mess with current "Arm Lock Toggle" button. It's far better that previous functionality in my opinion.
But,for those peoples who liked it the old way re-introduce "Arm Lock Hold" control option. It's just that simple.
And everyone will be happy.

Typical PGI "fix". 50% people want arm lock toggle, 50% people want hold button arm lock. Soooo ... lets screw over the 50% for the sake of another 50%.

How hard is to give players an option to set it toggle/hold?

Better yet how hard is it to THINK before you do something dear devs?

Agreed. No reason not to have the choice.

So true, we should have both options!

So Ive been in the habit of holding shift to converge my arm and torso weapons for the last year or so, and now you change it to a toggle? That's a really long-standing habit to try to break, and I don't want to break it because I believe armlock hold is superior to armlock toggle.
Why would you remove armlock hold from the game?
Does PGI even play MWO?

And don´t make us wait for the next patch.

The function was already in the game. It can´t be too time consuming to re-implement it. All you have to do is tieing another slot to it on the key allocation screen.

The new toggle is great. Especially since half my mechs only use torso weapons and the others use arm weapons. Switching back and forth in options was a pain.

If the hold function is to return, please add it as an extra command and not a replacement.

+1 for push2(un)lock! This new toggle really eats up far too much time in the heat of battle.

Needs to be an option. Many people (including me) prefer the new way.

The answer is an incompetent dev with a track record of very "questionable" (******) decisions.
