I am starting a thread I am sure someone else has already started sometime in the past. I saw the D Vlog of new maps coming to MWO. And I have a few ideas of my own but would like to hear other ideas as well. Maybe they might even use some of our ideas in the future. I even have an idea for some new game modes I would like to share. Now share your ideas if you want.

Map: Hanger/ Base

The map would take place on a Military style base. Hangers and some even shutdown unoccupied mechs sitting in mechbays to decorate it. This map would not have to take place just on around a hanger though so we would have to add some additional areas so maybe some sort of area 51. (I don’t mean add aliens either) lol. On the map it would be nice to see some people running around working maybe even by the area of the bases or hangers alarms and people running around like as if they were under attack.

I got a new idea for a game mode (Attack & Defend) one team is to attack an enemy base while the other team is to defend their base. Instead of capping a base they have to destroy all turrets and buildings.

My second idea of a game mode you could call mvp. It would be one random pilot from each team will be marked to die. The team must defend this guy if he dies, game over. I think it would be kind of lame to see a marker of a guy that is not targeted so in order to find who the player is they must target them to inspect if they are the marked player or not.

If you do not agree with my opinion of cool game modes to add to MWO or my idea of a map that’s fine. I am not asking to argue with people about a opinion. So please don’t pick on anyone’s ideas. Just a simple really cool idea or nah I don’t like it would be polite. Thanks guys. Maybe I run into ya the battlefield.

Cool stuff!

Attack and Defend has already been talked about, IIRC, by the devs.

And the only problem with the MVP mode that I can see is that you might get the "weakest link" as the MVP, he wanders into fire...

ggclose

You could theoretically try it by picking the heaviest 'mech on a team automatically to be the MVP, but that would only work so far. Overall it's not a bad idea, but it'd be tough to implement without players raging.

agree. But you must admit it would be pretty fun. So maybe some sort of ranking system could also come out that would allow a higher level player (Pilot skill points) would get the mvp. If he has low points then it would not choose him. I mean its pgi I sure they think of something. lol.

You could try that. I would love to play an MVP mode, reminds me of the old TFC rounds where you had to escort the umbrella-wielding businessman.

Edit: There is one other thing though, and that's poptarts... how would we stop them from simply focusing the MVP and laughing? Maybe hide who the MVP is for a certain amount of time?
