I have to say this was a decent patch. Adding the mousewheel binding and the ability to remember the match types I want to play is a clutch move, so well done on that.

And the MM so far seems to be putting my small group in with fewer 9 or 10 mans and more matches with other small groups, making for good matches Also good.

I was slightly worried about the JJ changes but they turned out just fine and my Quickdraws are still happy.

And,

Trying binding mouse wheel up to your PPC or AC 10/20

And have some good old times flinging shots at people. For whatever reason it's very satisfying

Oh man, just for flinging shots I'm gonna rebind my keys. I was planning on making it a zoom control but this sounds way better.

YES! I will make it either my streak firing control, or for zoom, probably zoom!

The thought never occurred to me. I have issues with using the wheel button itself, as I always seem to pull the shot(damn button seems to put up a fight). Perfect solution though. :D

Might be good for some laser gatling action :D

Phase 1) Nova with 12 ER Medium lasers
Phase 2) Set all medium lasers in group 4 in chain fire
Phase 3) Map mouse wheel up to fire group 4
Phase 4) GATLING NOVA LASOR CANON

So perfect!

Edit: Another reason for me to get a Nova next month...

Both my gaming mice have 4 buttons plus the wheel. I can now actually use those dumb-a** stock builds that have 5 weapon groups!

great idea! as a warning though, firing them in chain fire too fast will still trigger ghost heat. But you will probably not have to worry too much.

Best part is you could assign a group to wheel down and use all six.

Throttle is the best usage.
Wheel up/down for throttle control.
I also bind wheel-right to 100% throttle, and wheel-left to invert-throttle.
Wheel-press to 0% throttle.

I'm using wheel up/down for the zoom in/out personally (though I still have the Z key zoom to level 2 instantly since I almost never need zoom level 1)

I don't like to mix my weapons with my mobility. All my steering/throttle/vision settings are on the Nostromo. That is an efficient usage of the wheel though.

Some mice have a wheel that can be "tilted" to the left of right as a means of input.

Well.. My opinion is that the LRM thing has gone a touch too far (protip: I'll live), and the DNS issue is a royal pain in the arse, but nothing else much wrong with it other than being just another minor tweak patch instead of any real value added content.

I remember when mousewheel actually worked a long time ago. I am glad to see it is back.

Generally happy with the patch!
