I'm afraid its true. Press and hold was way more handy and quick, but now we have to press one more time to turn it off. At least there should be an option to select which one you want. Can't get use to it and lost many combats because of this already.

Going to have to agree with this... What's the point in deleting a feature that the vast majority of the community liked in favor of one that the vast majority of the community dislikes?...

Why can't we have both?

Arm Lock should not be able to be changed in game at all. So I'm kind of confused as to why you would post this.

As a mechanic it's abusive and allows for things that cannot be done normally.

It should only be able to be changed in the options menu.

Yeah, please let us toggle that toggle!
Keep accidentally hitting shift while zooming and locking arms when I didn't want to. Very annoying.

I love it.
I just have some Mechs where i need Armlock but when i need it then mostly a long time.
I hated to change it in the Menu just for some Mechs so i hold them .... i hold them looooooong ....
Many asked for it (including me) sooo nope its not useless and unnecessary.
I also hope they make a Throttle Decay toggle .... hate it to change it just for my 6 Lights in the menu...

Yeah, I like it better as a toggle. For my brawlers, I do not use it, for snipers, I do. Now I can just hit the button at the beginning of the match and save the time.

Wait is this another post about using arm lock to try and jump the torso around faster....which I always noticed was really glitchy and more so a bug.

What exactly can't you do with the toggle arm lock that you could do with the hold key strain my damn pinky one, lets play that game. You say it sucks and can't say why, hitting a button TWICE isn't exactly a big deal compared to holding it down and having a very hard time pressing the A key.

Another person complaining the vast majority of people agree with his personal opinion. Forums.

Personally I far prefer it, free's up with hand to concentrate on other movement without holding it down. But I do agree it should be a selection in the options.

PGI just needs to take note of this and just make sure future control changes offer flexibility of choice where applicable: toggle, or hold.

Yep, for me I like the hold, others, the toggle. Pretty simple to program, and you can make everyone happy. Just like with Throttle Decay
