So I re-installed MWO and jumped in a game, not expecting much. What a surprise, then, to be placed in several consecutive matches where my PUG was working in coordination as separate
lances!

Best guess is there were a few small groups teamed up to make my team. Being part of actual back-and-forth conflicts, sensible team play, and non-mob tactics that worked made me the happiest mechwarrior in the IS!

If MWO keeps adding onto this level of improvement, this will become the greatest game I own. CW had better keep this ball rolling, another CW related letdown is going to be really hard to recover from for me.

Nope. If you were playing solo, then you were put into a queue 100% comprised of solo players. No groups, of any size, in the solo queue at all. This change went in on the 7/2 patch. Seems like you just had a good group of PUGs who actually worked together (which does happen, from time to time).

Last few matches I have been in were 12-0 shut outs. The damn poptarts were destroying everything and then rushing us.

Poptarts rushing? Surely you must be mistaken. JK.. jump sniper rushes can be brutal and sudden.
