So i know how i can look at the skill trees of my current mechs but how about the mechs i have trained already and sold? Or is it not possible to see that anymore at all?

Go to your profile > Mech Stats, that is your best bet and you also have 'Archived Stats' as well to see past past MXP gained. Anyway, sadly they did take out that feature in UI 2.0, but it's still possible to look up past MXP only on the profile section.

In the field -- just kidding. Those skills don't mean much.

Not possible to see anymore once you sell the mechs.

Ah well there's what Lux mentioned but in the game you're kinda screwed. :)

Now for those looking here but you've never seen your pilot skills (as I thought based on the title) then... Top of the screen when NOT in a match.. Click Skills.
Posted Image
Expand any name that you own to see the stats on the ones you own.
Posted Image
Once you select one and click mech tree you'll see this.
Posted Image
If you want modules, you'll need to head over to the pilot trees... because in PGI's logic the best way to improve your pilot's skill is have weightless modules that further enhance your mech...because that is somehow improving your skill as a player, I guess? Who knows.

Pray that you get a balanced team split. If not your a also screwed here. Skill is not primary in this game.

So basicly what you are all saying (the ones that understood what i was talking about at least) is that they removed that possibility from the game? So i have to just guess to get to the 3 mechs to get to the elite skills and so on? With that ui it's so hard to check out what weapons a mech has and everything. It does look way better than the old one but the information in it is either missing like in this case or it's just harder to find. ...well i'll go buy a mech and hope i haven't already played that one.

There's the solution Lux mentioned.

Helps to keep a list. And yes I think it's stupid that the ability was lost with the change in UI. Eventually it might come back. I do believe they at least show icons for basics, elites and masters on the mechs even if they don't show the experience earned.

And it's not a guess if you didn't own any of the 3 variants to begin with, only if you sold them. And if you sold one of the 3 variants before getting the elites for that mech... you're kinda screwed anyway. :)

So now you need to own all the 3 variants to be able to unlock the elite status? It's not enough you got 3 variants to 8/8? It doesn't seem to show the icons either. Icons are only for the ones you currently own but that doesn't realy help since i have played many mechs 8/8 and sold them. So was all that for nothing then?

No, you need 3 variants of one chassis with basic on them to unlock elite efficiencies, you still need 3 variants in that weight class elited to unlock master; Once you have 3 variants of the chassis with all basic efficiencies unlocked you are free to sell the ones you don't want, just as long as you already have 3 variants in that weight class elited.

Ok let me try to make sure i got this. So i can't do it like buy 1 and make it 8/8 then sell it and buy next one and make it 8/8 and then sell that and go for the 3rd one and make it 8/8 and then unlock elite? I can't sell any of them before i have unlocked the elite?

You only need two variants elited to unlock master. I just tested this. I think it may be a recent change. So variant 1, 2, 3, must be basiced to unlock elite, then variant 1and 2 must be elited to unlock master.

You could sell them before, but it's not very bright and to get elites unlocked you do need to have 3 of them in hand. It's a pain. But that ultimately encourages (kinda extorts) people into getting at least mechbays. I own 129 mechbays currently.

I think i have like 8 or 9 bays so that's not the issue since i have 2 bays empty. It's just the money that's not there for a casual player like me. Hate it for wasting almost all of my game time. I thought i could just get mechs 8/8 here and there and try different mechs and then start making each type of mechs elites when i have tried what's out there. Thought the skills would remain even if you sold the current mech ...pretty crazy system when skills go when you sell a mech. :(

Ok, just to be clear. You CAN sell the mechs, you DO keep the skills. The only problem with randomly picking up mechs, doing all the Basic skills and then selling them again is precisely the one you have i.e. you don't necessarily know which ones you've done. Luxebo's recommendation above (use the mech stats portion of the forum profile) is your best bet.

Everything you've completed Basic for, still counts for all the Basic skills even when you don't own it. You just can't see them.

It's really not that complicated, it's just difficult to explain.

Well that's good news. Wonder how people seem to have different idea about this as many said i need to own the 3 variants and can't sell them before. Oh well maybe it was good to keep on asking since there seemed to be so many ideas about this.
Anyways the problem with that new ui still exists. I thought of that stat thing before but i'm not realy sure is it showing everything from day one. I have been casually playing from the day the game was first available. Well hope they make some adjustment to the ui so it will actually be at least little informative.

Thanks for all the help guys.

Are you sure you didn't elite some other mech within that weight category some time ago? Unlocking master tier skill applies to all mechs within their weight category.

On the stats page, there is a pull-down to switch from Current to Archived. You will be able to access your full mech history from there.

I forget why they did it, I'm sure it was important. At least it stopped my OCD obsession with stats and screenshots so I'll call it a win.

They have the 'archived' stats is due to the server reset/migration during the middle of the Spring. But basically that is before launch module implications, just remember that.
