Uhm... I have no idea of which original TT rules you are talking about. I can't find a reference to Aluminium armor anywhere.
The only thing I found is a brand name:
Bruin Heavy Ferro-Aluminum
This is not a special Aluminium armor. That is ferro-fibrous armor, that is only named that way.

funny, i never heard of aluminum armour either but the first thing i thought was that it might be a great idea to make flamers more useful - it might take impact damage like normal but aluminum melts easily so flamers would wreak havoc on it lol

The only aluminum armor in TT was fibro-ferrous/ferro-aluminum which is already in mwo
