Do we name and shame them ?
Do we offer to meet them at a time and place of their choice and gut them ?
What's the procedure .... ?
Because the company hosting the game do sod all about it !
(Grinds his teeth) and goes on sharpening axe ......!

- Report the player in the common game chat so both sides know " --DumbTKPlayerName-- is a TKer watch for him." Report him in team chat so the rest of your team knows.
- Take screen shots of both player summary and any chat text and note the time of the game. E-mail that to support@mwomercs.com indicating that you are reporting a team-killer.
- [redacted]
- Repeat step 2 a bunch more times that day.
- Write down the player's name on a sticky note you have at your computer for future reference. That list has helped a couple of days later when a TKer was matched with me again [redacted]

The redacted steps are a name&shame violation and even ingame unaccaptable

OR....since you're a Clanner, you can do what I do. Announce to everyone that So-and-so has declared a circle of equals and let noone interfere....then vaporize him.
Because, let's face it, the ONLY way the new players are going to learn is if you hit them in the face with a board several times. It's not as if they participated in any form of meaningful tutorial that teaches them not to do that. PGI simply doesn't care.

I usually end up thinking, "Daggummit...some idiot who isn't bright enough to NOT look right at your back and their finger just twitched again".
Nice to hear an apology though. Gotta admit to having done it myself on occasion in the past, until I learned to NOT look at my team mates back and rest my finger on the fire buttons while not engaged. There may have been a few times where, I dropped back behind the guilty party (who is kind enough to identify themselves with a smart ass comment), and let my undiagnosed Parkinsons hand tremors take over.

You report them to support with any information you have, screens are best but hard to take from behind ,name and shame will get you moderated and the culprit I suspect will get away scot free.
you are pissed at the loss of a leg, but what PGI have to decide is was it a dumbass testing weapons where they shouldn't or has this person got a record.
Don't listen to the idiots who say I just kill the little %^&* as I haven't got time to waste reporting, as it then leads to a situation where you get a suspension or ban for TKing if the person that shot your leg off was just a dumb ass and not trying to TK

There are to many big egos coming in on these topics, that believe their self justice is the only justice. Except, for MWO, self justice is most often a rule violation. In MWO you have no authority to perform self justice actions.
if you have a problem with another player, make a report to support. If they TK you, or attempt to do so, do not shoot back. Do not name and shame them in the forums or in the game. Record the situation (make notes, take screenshot, capture a video or whatever else you can think of) and send those informations to the Gamemasters. They are the only ones with authority over other players.
Fighting one wrong with another, is only going to make the work for the GMs harder. Present them a clear case and the guilty player will find himself punished much sooner, then when you cover this players actions up, in your own wrongdoings against him or her.
All the rules for this game can be found in this sub-forum.
