Edit: It's pretty clear that nobody really know how the Elo system PGI implemented works and what factors contribute to one's Elo. So, why the constant ranting? You perceive other people as noobs, but the same can be said of you. In the (roughly) 1700 matches played I've only seen you once. In that match you were the second pilot to die in your Timber without notching a single kill. Would it be fair for me to call you a window-licking noob who doesn't know how to play using a "P2W ZOMGOP" Mech?

Fine. I concede. The matchmaker and Elo are working perfectly. No problems here. Anyone that's played the game more than 20 minutes SHOULD be expected to carry at least 4 people because they can't figure out how to shoot without standing still and zooming in. Works for me.

Pray you NEVER end up on my team again. Since friendly fire isn't punished and only teamkilling is, perhaps I should change my tactics a bit....if a drooling mouthbreather is standing still and drawing fire, perhaps he'd draw even more fire if he was without a leg. Hmmm...interesting. I'm going to try that out today.

Maybe YOU missed my posts where I talked specifically about dropping in the solo queue to see how it was. See, I'm not a moron like you, I dont' make sweeping and blanket statements and I dont' comment on balance issues that I haven't participated in. Not trying to feed any trolls or anything but I"ve been playing since Jan 2013 and even though I rarely play now because of all the other problems with the last couple of patches did to my game( I get CPU spikes like crazy until after 3 games I get a CTD) but once a week or 3 when I boot up the game for some stupid reason I always get a teammate that is a cadet... because they are asking questions or need help(or shooting teammates,ect)...

So even though I"m not the best pilot out there ( I used to play Light mechs alot back in the old days... before the dark times) my ELO should not be on the bottom yet I get new players all the time... and I solo like 99.999 percent of the time now in this game ( all my friends have quit the game by now)..

The OP has a point... although I get like 2 new(BRAND NEW) people a month... not every game.... so thats not really a bad thing I think... its how you can perhaps build new friendships and have better games.... besides... it gets boring playing the same people over and over.

As for "artifically inflated," what would you call starting new players out in the 1300-1400 range then? Max is 2800...seems pretty much "in the middle" to me.

Now, if new players started at zero and had to work their way up, they'd be far more experienced by the time they hit the mid-range Elo. In fact, you could place a numerical value on how much experience they've gained by that point.....1300-1400.
