Why are Mariks consistently the absolute worst pilots in the game? I involuntarily shudder every time I'm stuck in a game with a lance or more of them on my team. They don't know how to push, they're always afraid to scratch their mech paint. Just a waste of a drop slot. /end rant

OP probably got just stomped badly in one game where he happened to have Marik teammates. I know how forum QQers' brains function.

It could be because faction selection is just the pressing of a button in your profile rather than actually being recruited by a faction. Just saying.

You know...it depends on the time you play. If you play during the 11:00 - 15:00 timeframe (U.S.), the Mariks are fairly good.

If you play early in the morning (ie: Euro prime time), it's the damn Steiners you have to worry about. Evidently, Katrina has told them that the way to win is to wander out in the open, stand still, zoom in and hope for the best.

Hey kids, this is what your kindergarten teacher meant when she said, "Stereotyping is bad." :)

Naw, if it was just once I wouldn't have even posted about it, consistently anytime I have a bunch of them on my team they rather hide for half the game rather than go shoot something. it's pathetic.

Yeah the Steiners are generally pretty awful as well. Davions are ok, Kuritas are solid, Mariks however of the houses, they were the worst in 3025, they're still the worse in MWO.

"Ok"

I'm most disappointed in Steiner when they bring the Fatlas, but push out < 200 damage. They say "go big or go home", and I say "you should just pay someone to go big for you".

Seriously, the entire point of the OP's post is so illogical, you might as well just "make up stuff" to blame your losses on.

In the Old Que, when I saw a bunch of Steiners I used to tell my buddies "whelp we're boned. We have Steiners". Only half joking. More I look for people that I remember stood out as especially Horrible in a given match and mark them either as dead weight and not to be counted on, or as a free kill. I do the inverse with people I remember as being impressive.

Basically with me, there's one of two ways to be on my Primary Target list.
1: be so horrible that I know that I could claim you in a commando if I had to
2: be so outstanding that I won't face you with less than 3 to 1 odds.

Mariks always showed a weak front up until The Master decided to make his move.

Davions you say? Sir, I shall meet you on the battlefield to settle this matter. We shall fight in the nearest, most dense forest we can find. I will equip every long range weapon I can steal from the Tech. My victory is guaranteed. Good day, sir.

So what I took from this was when you looked at the average score per game rather than total Kurita, Liao and others do quite well. The lone wolves had terrible score to game ratio in comparison.

Seriously, though, it's fun to point fingers at the "worst of the worst of the worst, with honors, sir" but it really boils down to lack of meaningful communication.

I'm sure those of you that are younger than I am (I'm 46) speak multiple languages and it's not that much of an issue. I speak three languages myself...four if there's beer involved (English, Teenager, Army and...if I drink enough...Canadian).

I get up at 0400 every morning...I can't help it. I've been doing it way too long. When I get on the game, it's German Prime Time. I only speak enough German to start a bar fight. Not really useful here.

It's a shame we don't have a radio communication tree like they do in counterstrike. I could hit F5 for "Stick together Team" and it would spout it out in German to my teammates. Instead, I might as well be typing "Hump the Ostrich" to my team in chat...for all the good it does.

Still, if we have to point fingers at the most useless organizations....allow me to put this forward as the worst of the worst, with honors, sir:

1 ) Clan Gummi Bear
2 ) Clan Derp Chicken
3 ) House Steiner
4 ) House Liao (I don't know about you, but they seem to like to shoot friendlies more than anyone else)

The rest...I dunno. They're not Dragoons and they're not Wolves...so, I suppose we can let them use the porta potties.

Yet I am always the one yelling push to my team, herding stray cats is very hard.

Hell, in the solo PUG queue, shooting without standing still and zooming in is hard.....

Technically, since anyone that's been playing more than 20 minutes is expected to carry a minimum of 4 new players is hard...
