I sure wish I could purchase my own custom reticle with just a single red dot the current one in MWO is irrtating and gets in the way of seeing smaller targets at a distance.

I currently don't see how this would have any direct impact on gameplay; so this should be a purely cosmetic change that I'd like to see also!

crosshairs suck. I prefer just a red dot. As far as the impact on gameplay well it would improve my gameplay and enjoyment. You can think of it as cosmetic but I play better with just a red dot without having to try to look through the current reticle. We are forced to look through the cockpit window with all its gadgets, practice looking at the mini map then back to our reticle. One less distraction in the cockpit.
