Here comes the Mek-Fu Controller

http://blip.tv/angry...terview-6214281

It's targeted at Hawken but in the interview it's stated to be fully programmable for use in other mecha games

I won't dare knock the Artemis, which appeared like a nice bit of equipment, but this is certainly a competitor. It has the left handed stick for that crowd (a major concern with the artimis) and lacks the center screen. Obviously I'd rather have the screen than not, but it might blow the price point.

Ultimately, it will come down to the price point... I will be watching both closely.

I want one. I bought an X52 pro, but i think i might end up wanting 2 joysticks for complete control. We shall see when I actually get to play the damn game haha.

Personally I'd rather have an older x45 than an x52. The switch to a twist rudder instead of the paddle on the throttle was a big turnoff for me.

That would attach to the gyroscopic chair nicely!

Hmmm December? I have time to look at the price then decide, but I'm rooting for the Artemis, it comes with a display ;)

You are right.. I loved my old X45s...

I'm curious as to how people would control the mech with a dual joystick set up, I have a couple layouts in mind but am curious as to how others who have actually played a mechwarrior game using two sticks, for the life of me I can't remember how steel battalion worked.

I would think one for movement one for torso/aiming . UNless they did torso twist and movement on one and aiming only on the other..

Old News.
Here is a link though.
It gives a great close up. They don't know the price. And it'll come out q1 of next year. We'll be well in our Mech killing time by then.

My personal opinion is... I don't see the point of dual joysticks. I mean... really....

Right stick for moving targeting cursor, left stick for steering. Left stick only had L/R movement, and had an analog hat for the camera view. There was no torso twist per se, the VT's torso swung to wherever your targeting cursor was.
