Not for me... Every time I see steam on my mech, the game slows down to nearly unplayable levels. Has any solution been provided/tested?

same issue here, lowering my particles setting helped ALOT, even from very high to high made a big difference

I find if you're zoomed in it's even worse too. Backing up while running very hot places the steam in front of you and also causes a big-ass fps drop.
However, I'm not so sure this is a problem with the game rather than just all that smoke etc... being very taxing on hardware (especially on ultra or high)?
I'm no expert though so who knows

It's an issue with the game. Playing BF4 with a thousands explosions and particles happening all around while in the middle of a duststorm does clkose to nothing to my framerate.

lack of optimization, only solution is lowering particles setting, or upgrading your system

I have a brand new 4770k, 16gigs of ram and 2x670's.
Its on their end not ours.
I have had these problems for months now, its crazy that they havent fixed them yet.

They were busy with clan and matchmaker stuff ... hopefully now they can concentrate on making the game better.

I'm hoping they can optimize the game and find this damned memory leak that is tasking the hell out of my GPU and CPU during points of loading in a black screen... I get 2x (almost 3x) the FPS in BF4 and other games v. MWO... all settings on High... all my game settings between various games are setup the same too... MWO needs some refining done, until then it's a system resource hog that I happily play

yes i am saying the problem is on there end due to a massive lack of optimization, nice system, unfortunately with the lack of optimization your 2x 670's means nothing to MWO it only uses 1 >
