Thinking about getting a bunch of people together for a clan vs IS match.

Stock tech 1 IS vs stock loadouts for clans.

What do you think would be a good team size for clans? 12 vs 8? Maybe 7?

Anyone interested in trying it out tonight? 7 pm Est or around that time

Thats a very bad idea.

You need atleast allow Tech 2 IS if you wanna be more then a push over.

I'm all in for that.

Good values are 1 Star vs. 2 Lances or 2 Stars vs. 3 lances.

Or a lance vs. 2-3 points.

You have to allow the IS Tech 2 stock mechs. Unless people are afraid of the JM6-DD with it's Locust armor. Stock AND tech 1 just seals the IS loss. Compare the stock loadouts of most Clan to IS even if you are talking strictly IS mechs using Tech 2.

Actually i believe that 12vs5 with tech 1 for IS would be even enough. You should really try it.

You know, if there was a way to validate loadouts so people could do minor changes in order to conform with tier 2 rules, while still keeping a mech close to it's inspiration. [a good example of this is simply loosing a weapon to add a heatsink, or vice versa, or changing a medium laser to a small laser for extra half ton for ammo, ect.]

but since we can't trust people not to munchkin build... just allow tier2 stock mechs and you'll be fine.

I could do one of each weight class lvl1 IS mechs. Centurion A is pretty beastly.

Could also do a Cute Fox or Nova.

No do a 8 IS vs 5 Clan. That might work if they pick their stock IS mechs well. 2 lances vs 1 Star in other words.
