I just recently started playing MWO and i think it's really fun. Overall my experiences were a bit bad because i sucked so much. But yea, I'm still enjoying the game even though I am from South East Asia and and im playing on 250+++ping which isn't really that bad per say.

All I'm asking for this game is for someone to play with, cause its really underwhelming how i've got people one my Lance and no one is communicating. I just want someone I can play with on a few matches and communicated with so that maybe I could improve on this game, because I really have fun playing.

I use a Jenner .... i forgot what variant though

Anyways uhm, PM me or post a reply here. Maybe you can provide me help ingame or if you want you can post like build suggestions or tips on how I can play my Jenner better. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you, that's all

There is a pinned topic just for that. Check it out.

The current problem with beginner duos is that the current Matchmaker matches all grops into 12 man teams in the group que. This means that you will be facing anything from 6 duos to one full 12 man premade, so I reccomend you to team up with as many experienced players as you can find.

ComstarNA and NGNG are the most commonly visited channels. I'm usually on Comstar in the general chat area whenever I'm in the mood for robot stomping.

EDIT: A 250 ping is pretty bad though. That's usualy the point where the game starts to get jumpy.

Oh thank you for linking that thread i'll check it out right now.

Okay I didn't realize that the matchmaking in this game could be like that. I'll think about something maybe I can find a group, that would be great if I did find one.

I don't really like stomping, i want to be stomped on. I feel like I wont improve in this game if I just team up with the best or with people that are at that higher bracket of experience. I would want to fight them, but team up with them... eeeehhh not really what I want.

About the ping, I see nothing wrong with it. Where i shoot I deal damage, when someone missiles are airborne i can just find a hill or mountain and I can dodge it very well. I play a light mech and I can hold toe-to-toe against another light mech. Even if he has a Champion variant I prolly win much of my 1v1s against light mechs even if my ping is that bad. They don't like have seizures unlike other games that I play on high ping. Everything is surprisingly smooth.

I'm not saying to go drop with the competetive crowd, but if you have more experience players, they'll be able to guide you, give you some tips and cover your back. If most of your team is luck of the draw, it can get frustrating, rather than a learning process. Basically, try to eliminate the random factor for your own team as much as you can.

I would say that there is a million ways to get stomped but only a few to consistently win. So it's actually easier to get better if you team up with the beat people you can and pick up on what they are doing or how they arcommunicating. Also winning will raise your elo and the game will then put you in against harder opponents.

If you try to play against those guys, what you'll find is that first, yoi won't run into the truly competent people all tha often and second, if you do the stomp will happen so fast you wont even be able to mak heads and ttails of it.

Okay i might have overlooked the fact that those players could help me improve. My bad. Anyways can you provide me with a better insight on where I could find said groups that would incorporate me into their teams.

Thank you.

If you visit the Comstar Channel, take a look at the general chat area. That's basicaly the free for all chnanels for finding groups. That's also where you usually find me and the STD guys I usually drop with. I have to admit I've never been to the NGNG channel, so don't know what the open channels are called. Just look out for a channel that doesn't seem to be affiliated with any unit and has a handful up people lurking around.

You can try going on twitch tv and going to channela such as ngngtv, mwopro, jagerxii, or sebnitu. Then in chat, you can ask if anyone wants to group up and tutor you.

A lot of people probably wont mind you taking up a light position since the team wont be depending on you to do much damage. You migh even be able to join the stream host's team.

Np! Always like to see new peeps with a positive attitude! Once you build up a rolodex of friends it will be much easier to get groups going.

Also, nice thread to look at to understand the current state of the game.

If you're playing with other people, you're better off in a group of 4 or more, since even a group of 2 is in the group queue (the other queue is solo players only)

This.
Trust me, it really...really...really sucks to be a group of two now.
