Skins For Gold Mechs...tired Of B.s., Just Want To Play

One of the highest outlays in a game, and the least cosmetically adaptable option, ever. Not just in MW, but anywhere...
I enjoy the game, and happily--if a bit drunkenly--forked over $500. Game isn't perfect, but I don't game much, and it's the only game I've played in a year, ish. So I said eff it...
What are the chances of them giving so-called "gold" mechs some of the same options that c-bill mechs enjoy?
Also, it would save folks having to spend the first five minutes of round talking about how stupid/supportive/ridiculous/marvelous "gold" mechs are. And blah, blah to the blah blah.
I just threw you guys another $250 over your $250 clan package. Basically, just because.
Throw in at least one alternate dang color, purchase-able under the same conditions as a c-bill mech, please.
I'll buy it, too.

1: At some point they included the Masakari pack in with the purchase of a Gold Mech.
2: Even if you had only bought the Masakari pack (instead of buying both that AND a Gold mech, which should have netted you TWO sets), you could pilot the Prime version, which you should also have gotten.

That's a great point that I forgot to bring up: they do not distinguish the "prime" version in stats versus the "gold" version. So, there is an even more compelling reason to offer some basic cosmetic function.
edit: to clarify, both stats read the same across the board.
Thanks!

Here's the thing, You Bought a Gold Mech cause you wanted it. Thats cool and all. But if you wanted to change the color you could have bought the regular Omni for half the money. Buyer's remorse is a shameful thing.
Think about it if you could change the color Why pay $250 for a digital color?

If they did, you'd think the yelling and howling inclined folks would have been yelling and howling by now.
The possibility of applying a different color paint job to a robot really doesn't seem that emotional, to me. Odd, that it seems so to the first few who responded, perhaps. Or perhaps not.
Maybe there is some social lesson to be learned regarding how emotional people get over things that don't directly affect them, just...because!!!!
I will put my ears on.
At the very least, this is cheaper than going to the zoo.

No, that's just an irrelevant diversion. It would not be "pointless" as it would:
1) give folks cosmetic options that are currently available in the game
and
2) who really reads, and then associates, names with robots (mechs for you purists)
and
3) it would still drive revenue for the game to offer it as a c-bill or MC option
Anything else?

But you bought the Mech cause it was Gold! Why would you want to change that? And wouldn't it have been more logical to have bought the less expensive Version and been able to change the color?

you specifically paid for a gold mech. That is exactly what you were buying. That was the whole idea behind gold mechs.

Same reason folks bought mechs with a standard color, and then buy variants to that color. They bought one version, and are able to slap a skin/color/camo. Really...go check it out in the mech bay if you doubt me!
This isn't a difficult or extraordinary request.
Maybe some folks like the extra recognition. Shoot, I wore a purple shirt one time, so I'm not immune to having some goldfish in the pimp shoes once in a while, or any time, as an option.
But how about regular jeans/khaki's/a nice skirt/dress/ any other option any other mech has available? Why can't those who dropped the extra dosh (for whatever drunken, dedicated, silly, whatever reason) enjoy the same basic options as every other MWO "warrior" in the game?

The difference is those Mechs are not designated as being "Gold". For instance, Yen Lo Wang can change its colors, but will never be able to be "Snakeskin". It will always have the Cenotaph pattern. It is part of its Uniqueness. You bought a Gold Mech cause it was gold!

That's kinda' my point, but not exactly.
I'm not asking because I paid $. I'm just asking because it's available to every other one of my mechs, c-bills, mc, Visa, or whatever.
When they start offering dual half-weight gauss ppc in energy slots for mastercard numbers, it would be nice to know with a good-gawd-glowy locked scheme, but for the same variant as everyone else just...because?
Eh?

Or something.
You forgot to clarify.

They are generally the least important aspect of the game, to me.
It's just since I've been playing this 'bot (mech for your purists) that I've gotten a little exposure to what the Mabeline crowd spends their time on--edit: "gauss blush is only for ME!!!!".
It's just a paint job, and I don't necessarily want to be locked into a paint job. "Gold" didn't actually imply "Only Gold", after all...but I'll take whatever I can get.
They certainly do, and good for them.
Just a polite request...inquiry. Obviously.

You spent 260€ extra to get a gold skin, and now you are complaining that you can't change the color from gold to something else? Why did you buy a gold mech if you don't want it to be golden? If you want a mech that is is not golden, why don't you use another variant? The prime variant? It also has 30% cbill bonus and can change colors.

I'd love a sort of shiny ivory white personally. Or a metallic crimson.
