Add an AMS hardpoint to the X-5 Cicada Hero mech - and I will purchase it!

I have to admit, the little slip about the missing champions was handled gorgeously, great humor.

There's one problem i have with this sale, though.
Simply to much mechs to choose from, i'm not into this game for too long, the last sales (since i decided it was okay for me to put money into the game) i could somewhat easily decide whether or not one or more of the 3 - 6 'mechs are interesting for me or not.
Now, with every mech on sale, i'm simply overwhelmed, Do i want the Protector? or do i want the Firebrand instead? do i want maybe both? and mediums? what about mediums? or an assault? uggh. though decisions to make, since i won't spend oh so much in one go (already bought a mastery package and some other mechs this month, duuh).

Also, bought the Arrow right away, not for the 6 MG's, not for the JJ's, that darn 'Mech is simply way too sexy to not have it.

I bought the Jester a while back and have liked it a lot. The sale is very tempting. But I do not want to spend the money at the moment.

I'm thinking of picking up a Pretty Baby.

Anyone think this build would work?

WHAT?!
Makes me wonder whats coming down to road if they are putting so many on sale now.
Getting as much money as they can before these mech become totally useless?

The desperation is real.

Pretty shiny I must admit, I also like the paint...

But let's the heavy open up armor then have fun with 6 MG, so great...

sadly there is no good build for the Pretty Baby. I cant tell you how many times I've looked into it. Maybe a SRM4 x 3 and 2 LPL, but even then the NEGATIVE QUIRKS make it almost impossible to turn. Sure you might get some good games out of it, but generally it still sucks. the 9M has better turning speed. Sad hero situation.

I will made this instead, if i use the same engine :

The med laser is useless for this sort of build i think.

In fact i think i'm going to buy a Pretty Baby too. I know, i REALLY should take a Misery instead but i really like the heros mech that a lot of people hate... (I have The Huggin, the Golden Boy, the Grid Iron, the Oxide and i made very badass games with this little guys).

So i think i'm going to take the PB =)

It's a great discount rate, but I still wish it didn't cost the same as an entire game to buy a single mech in MWO...

Wouldn't be such a wise idea.
Even if they'd sell them for 1/4 of the regular prices, they wouldn't sell four times as much as they do now.
That's simply because those who do buy 'mechs would buy them anyway (for a reasonable price of course) but the overall income would decrease.

Id go large or erlarge lasers and more SRM ammo myself. But honestly the 9m does these things better minus the hero bonus.

Too many DHS. You heat efficiency is solid if you drop a few DHS and switch the SRMs to 3xSRM4. So you have little problems with SRM de-synch. At the same time. Smurfy doesn't measure practical heat efficiency, it measures alpha shot heat efficiency. Your efficiency when firing only the 2 PPCs is 48%.

By the way. I would recommend downgrading the ERPPCs into regular PPCs, that would force you to get used to using them only at long ranges. It would also improve your heat efficiency when in close range since you won't use the PPCs at all.

EDIT: Heat efficiency is 74% for firing 2 standard PPCs in one shot.

I like SRM-2's for their high rate of fire. SRM-6 has high burst damage but mediocre cooldown. When a SRM hits, a mech tends to rock for a bit and its difficult to aim. SRM-2's with their high rate of fire can keep them rocking sometimes and they'll have a hard time doing anything back to you.

The Combo SRM-2, SRM-4, and SRM-6 loadout is intended to offset cooldown on alpha. A SRM-2 has a 2 second cooldown. A SRM-4 has a 3 second cooldown. SRM-6 is at 4 seconds.

This means if you alpha all three at once. You can fire the SRM-2 a few seconds later, the SRM-4 a second afterward and a SRM-6 one second after that. It allows you to stagger your SRM's so you're firing close to 1 SRM group per second even if all 3 are in the same weapons group as an alpha.

At least in theory. Can't say I've tried it, yet.
