in addition to having selectable items like hula girls, it be sweet if we could use a local image from our PC that would only show up on our dash... just a square image that would be added in such a way that it looks like a photo taped to the dash

it would never have to be sent to the server... meaning that it would just appear to be missing if one of our dead teammwates was watching through camera view... unless maybe we placed a decal of the same filename in their custom images folder as well?

it would also be nice if you could affix an transparency supporying image type, ex if you wanted to graffiti your dashboard with a custom unit logo... or do your own version of the 'kill count' scratched ito the dash... some people dont have photoshop or whatever but they wouldstill be able to have a picture taped there...

since it is only in your cockpit, i think it avoids the issue that was of concern regarding everyone using pictures of dicks etc. because only you or the people you share the file with (outside of game) will ever see it




BTW the laws in the world/USA are going to ****.... saying that a company is responsible for user generated content is like saying that the US mail service is responsible for what i write in my letter. Its retarded as hell. I love how the US government is trying to use peoples misunderstanding of technology as a way to do terrorist fear mongering and take away rights that are guaranteed by our constitution, and exist in topoligically identical fashions in other forms of media/communications. These are rights, not privelages.

In mw4 you could turn off custom decals if you were really that offended by a few dicks (pun intended).

Any amount of personal customisation would definitely help create a bond to your mech. I like the idea. Custom camo-paint just wouldn't cut it, especially as we're going to be playing from inside the cocpit. Custom uploadable pic would be AWS-8Q. MP3 player would not be bad either :-)

1. Any exceptional medals that I have earned.

2. The symbol of my chosen faction, preferrably in some in-game physical form such as a medallion, pendant, signet ring, or medal.

3. Customization of the cockpit. Only a "spartan" cockpit should be mandatory. All other items, be they fuzzy dice, medals, etc should be left to the discretion of each individual pilot.

they have cameras all over most mechs, and MW 4 featured one as well as a look down cam so you could see the people you were stepping on... lol squish. how about energy readouts for subsystems that you could manage. ie overload you comm gear to do broad spectrum jamming, or under cut the power to a weapon to haras someone, what about BAP (Beagle Active Probe), or a Jackin the box ball on your external antenna. on the inside of the mech, a medkit and survival rations, a vibroblade... i could go on and on...

-Bobbleheads (mechs, mechwarriers, or even elementals...)
-pictures (uploadable maybe?)
-kill counts (scratches on a metal sheet, or on the cockpit frame?)
-music players would be cool, but I can see how they would be drowned out by combat noise
-weapons (never really used but decorational, maybe a fixed option in ceartain houses, or your choice if a mercenary)
