I agree pin ups would be pretty sweet, and the ability to upload our own photos, although that would take a bit more.

Perhaps little trinkets like a Celtic knot, crosses, sharktooth necklace, and other little spiritual and religious trinkets, and various souvenirs that might have been picked up on a different planet in a deployment.

A working analog clock. A reminder of how much time you're wasting enjoying playing giant space robots.

Some ideas that I heard that I liked: Natasha Kerensky pinup (I think that sounded pretty funny and something probably several mechwarriors would actually have), an urban mech bobble-head (sort of a community joke/mascot), for the Kuritans you could add bonsai trees and samurai swords. Religious iconography (Buddist, Christian, ect) would be nice but could cause backlash (religion can always be a sensitive subject). Perhaps we could have some propaganda posters (or even bobbleheads of the various faction leaders). Dog tags sound appropriate. Also Fuzzy dice, airfresheners, hula girls, ect. Personalized pictures, notepads, kill tallies, ect would be nice but that seems like it would be a pain to program.

I'd like a specific plate or plaque somewhere in the cockpit, one that you could enter your own short quote into. I don't know how feasible of an idea that is, given how small the text on it would probably be, but I'll just throw that idea out there.

I second the idea for some clan/faction posters or some sort of propaganda, with perhaps the ability to upload your own user-made unit's poster. Save the picture frames for loved ones and children's drawings.

Also, a fan would be nice. It gets hot in there. Perhaps it could periodically spray my pilot with a little water, too.

A USB memory stick dangling from the Mechs power up Key-Keyring (or a personalised stamped metal plate with the mechs name and the pilots name stamped into it with a relivant serial number from the Merc corps register!.

A copy of the Mech's Haynes maintenance manual (you get those in the states don't you) flopping open and closed as I stomp my mech around.

Coffee spilled down the front console, dripped down and onto the floor. The gyro's been having trouble lately.

A plate of shrimp as an homage to the hidden easter egg in Mechwarrior 2's clan database. Sometimes you're just thinking about a plate of shrimp.
