P.S. I really like the rear view cam idea, would definately step up the more experienced players game and provide a quick way for new players to identify where they are getting reamed from when they get side tracked or caught up in the moment

Were I piloting an actual 'mech, mine would have a smouldering cigar on the dashboard, a roll of duct tape in a Velcro loop swinging in and out of view, a picture of my father -- who died a hellish death trapped in his burning Fafnir in Tharkad City (so many times!) -- taped to the dash right above the EJECT button, and profanity-riddled notes from mechanics on at least two surfaces. Also, a killer sound system.

I can live without all that but it would be cool.

What I can't live without is a rear-view screen. I would pay handsomely for this as an upgrade.

What I would REALLY like to see is a customizable name & rank and/or Mech name that could be painted on the outside, somewhere.

Of course, I'd forego all the above for a pilotable Fafnir. (Wrong era, I know.)

Fuzzy dice for sure, hula girl = yes please, Id love to be able to insert a picture some place like a pinup taped into the cockpit, and if we could change the hud colors that would be super cool.

I'm a fan of all of the afformentioned nick-nacks... toys, fuzzy dice, pine trees, etc. I'd also like to be able to customize the position and scale of the HUD displays, as well as opacity, or maybe have them fade in or out under certain conditions. Possibly different fonts for the displays as well would be nice. Not to bring in other (and hated, I'm sure) onlie titles, but the best example I can think of off the top of my head is the kind of customization available now in WoW or Rift where the whole UI can be moved around and scaled, etc. Also maybe a slider or a feature for selecting different UI color schemes. Like, Blue or yellow backgrounds in the day, red rockpit lighting for night engagements. Definitely rewards and accolades hanging somewhere, too.

How about a small PiP monitor showing you the rear view (like a reversing mirror)... I have died many times withdrawing from overwelming odds because I have got caught up on a building or cliff.

Then how about replacing the current damage indicators on the hud with rotating 3D holograms... which would look very good on my 3D monitor.

Finally, an old fashioned desk fan, like the one in the hinds in ArmA 2.

I am hoping you guys are thinking about including the 180 degress compressed view on the HUD that shows 360 degrees around the mech so you do not have to turn to see what is coming up behind you. This is talked about frequently in the fiction.

ability to pull up the entire grid of the map that you are playing on a secondary display to reference for planning.
