Great topic....
Two pieces of tape that allow you to put any pin up pic you want between them.

A pair of Six-Shooters hanging from a hook on the window or window frame (like fuzzy dice)

A pair of Skulls (like fuzzy dice) Shrunken Heads would be cool here too...

A loose stack of playing cards maybe with a rubber band around them showing Aces and Deuces with cool
death head graphics...

A carved Jade totem

A pair of Germanic brass knuckles and a dagger

Why not a little dispositiv on a monitor where you can play your personal music.

You put them on a folder on the folder of the game and you can put your own music only for you.

Could be nice and another think you can personolise on your mecha.: )

I very much like the idea of being able to upload a picture into my cockpit. So many other good ideas that I can not comment on all of them. What I do know is that I have faith in the devs!

Besides some of the already mentioned personally stuff like dice, stickers and wobble figures I would see some house specific stuff.

E.g. Kuritas can have a daisho lying/hanging somewhere, Steiner can have some wallet or a money clip with so much C-Bills that it almost explodes, ...

Love the rearview camera idea as well as the old pin-up pictures (WWII style). I like the silhoutte kill tally as well.

I'd like to see various holiday stylings offered. Say for halloween, trick out the inside of the mech with skulls, jack o lanterns, bats, etc. For xmas, put in Santa, snowmen, christmas lights. Hell, even have a Pony vs. Anti-Pony holiday. You either trick it out all cute, lovey dovey, sweetness and light, OR your mech is filled with decapitated ponies, eviscerated and disemboweled ponies, maybe do it for valentines.

By the way, if you guys can pull it off, go ahead and sell advertising. If Pepsi or Frito Lay will pay you to put their logo inside our mech's go for it.

OK, just for giggles:

1. A roll of duct tape. SPACE duct tape.
2. An "Out of Order" sign you can place over any one display that normally has useful information.
3. A "Win" button (does nothing.)
4. "Rigging." Random wiring, gadgetry, etc. all exposed and obviously incorrectly wired. Has no effect, other than making your cockpit look like Tim the Toolman Tailor "rewired" it for you.
5. Battletech lore-friendly branding logos - metal plaques that read "Martel" or "Armstrong" or the like - manufacturer advertisements. "Martel Lasers - Bringing the Heat since 2248" or whatever.

I don't know if this technically counts as 'stuff' in the cockpit, but as far as in-cockpit flavor goes, have you considered customizable/purchasable computer voice notofications?

You could have different ladies and gentlemen giving various lines, such as the classic:

"Reactor: Online. Sensors: Online. Weapons: Online. All systems: Nominal."

You could have them all be in different styles with different voices, as in the past MW games. I think it's a bit of easy-to-produce, inexpensive flavor we'd all be in favor of.
